The best Italian vermouth for your home bar
I recently ordered this bottle of Cinzano Rosso which was a great addition to my home bar. I had the bianco but wanted both types of vermouth to create a variety of cocktails. It seemed a reasonable price and is a staple brand, so I was confident it would be a good decision to order. The bottle was quite a nice colour, looking similar to a bottle of red wine, giving my bar an added variety of colour. 🍷After a taste test, I can say that this bottle was a great choice with a blend of sweet and herbal notes, making it versatile for both cocktails and on its own over ice. The liquid had a strong scent and colouring which felt quite expensive. It does come with a little bitterness but also has some good depth, I'd say its a lot smoother when drank with ice.Since receiving the bottle I've created some pretty good cocktails for myself and my friends e.g. Negroni, Boulevardier, Sazerac, etc.) and it also goes quite well in a simple spritz with soda water. Had some fun evenings with it being quite well used during cocktail evenings with the family.🍸I've given this bottle of vermouth five stars as I can't see any negatives, it has given me exactly what I needed in style and taste, will likely order again as it beats other brands I have tried in the past such as Martini and own brand bottles.Overall, I highly recommend this vermouth for anyone looking to elevate their cocktail game or simply enjoy the taste of Italy through an Apertif. 👍

A good vermouth.
Indistinguishable to me, from the other famous red vermouth.Perfect for having in your negroni, or equally nice on it's own, over ice, as a great aperitif. The taste of a red vermouth is an aromatic, herby, slightly bitter taste, perfect as a palate cleanser, and to stimulate your appetite. It's definitely best drunk cold, so you may choose to keep it in the fridge.Alcohol is 15%, which is the same as pretty much all red vermouth.I drink far too many negronis, so which ever of the vermouth is the cheapest, is the one I buy.I would, and have, happily bought again.I hope you found this review helpful.

Welcome back after a long convalescence
For me, this is the king of vermouths. Moderately sweet but not as sugary as some more well-known brands, with deep and subtle herbal notes that bear dwelling on - again, unlike those major brands you just want to get down quick or mix with something else. The ideal aperitif over ice, or if you need a bolder pick-me-up, add a dash of Fernet-Branca bitters. The Cinzano family's red grape vines succumbed to the rot which swept though Italy a good many years ago. They have been patiently restocking from a few vines saved in a greenhouse. This is a welcome return for a top quality product once made enormously popular by the actor Leonard Rossiter at the height of his Reginald Perrin fame.No wonder it's out of stock again as I write this.
