This humidifier works extremely well. I use it exclusively with RO (reverse osmosis) water that tests at 13 PPM (parts per million), and I don't get mineral dust anywhere from this humidifier. If you don't have an RO filtration system, I strongly recommend buying distilled water for it. Things that I like: - The number of emitting ports can be changed from 2 to 1 at the touch of a dial. - The emitting ports can be rotated in any direction. - The humidity level in the room can be set (between 55% and 90%). - The water chamber can stand flat on a countertop for refilling. - The unit is operationally quiet. Things that I wish were different: - Mine sits on a nightstand, and I would prefer that it wasn't so tall. - The Max fill line is on the outside of the water chamber, but there is nothing on the inside. When you're filling it, are you supposed to develop x-ray vision to see if the water level inside has reached the line on the outside? I used a piece of Brother labeler black tape to mark a Max fill line on the inside. It's 4 cm from the top in case you're wondering. - The Max fill line is not even near the window so you could see if the water level was approximating the line. - When the water is at its maximum level in the chamber, the carrying handle sits in the water. This could allow contaminants from the hand to become aerosolized and inhaled. Either the handle should not drop down as far, or (as I'm now doing) don't fill the chamber to its maximum capacity. Things I don't care about: - The lights. When I'm asleep, the last thing I need is additional lights in the room. I turn them off each time I use the humidifier, but I wish it would allow the setting of a default condition.

I bought this at the end of last winter's heating season and used it every night for about a month. I run it for about ten hours to humidify a good-sized bedroom (about 14'x18'), using distilled water only. I was amazed how with distilled water there is no bacterial and fungal growth like I used to get using tap water in my old humidifier. The mold build-up eventually ruined the black rubber ring around the transducer so it would not properly vibrate anymore, making the machine useless. I was also surprised how long the water lasted––almost a week before needing refilling to about two-thirds full. The atomization must be better than in my old Taotronics model. The reviewers who reported a problem with microorganism residue must not have been using actual distilled water. True distilled water is boiled and re-condensed so that all the living organisms are killed and the dissolved mineral particles are left behind as well. "Purified water" is good for drinking but does not cut it for this use. So, read the label, make sure it's "distilled" water, and you won't go wrong. But don't use the distilled water for drinking, at least not as your only fluid source; it will not supply the needed electrolytes. My only complaint is the digital controls which required a learning curve to get used to. I run it at night and don't want any lights. To turn them out you have to press the night mode button (a crescent moon symbol). Then if you want to get back to the controls, you have to touch somewhere for it to relight. The multi-colored display lights are just ridiculous. Who are they selling this to––children? I'd prefer old-fashioned analog controls that you can feel, even in the dark, and hear the click of on and off. But I think the current economics is such that these infernal touch-control boards are cheaper than the old electromechanical, analog dials.

We purchased the 6L humidifier for the winter months and it has been a fantastic addition to our living room - adding much needed moisture to the air. The large tank provides hours of continuous moisture without needing constant refills. The speed output levels let us adjust the humidity to our comfort and the 360 mist spout ensures even coverage. It operates quietly so it doesn't interfere with relaxation or conversation. It is easy to refill and clean - designed with convenience in mind, which makes regular maintenance simple and hygienic. Overall, the humidifier is reliable, efficient, and a user-friendly choice.

Just four stars even though it works well, it gave us a scare because it caused natural gas flame turn from blue to yellow requiring us to get gas company to come and check gas service. Once we found out it was not supposed to be dangerous, we chose to go back to old style. Fine if your home is all electric so will find it a new home

I’ve tried many humidifiers and this one has worked the best for me so far. I have already bought 2 and about to buy a third. Easy to refill and does not produce a lot of dust. Happy so far.
