"Guns, God And Government - Live In L.A." was filmed on the last night of the world tour in support of the "Holy Wood" album. When originally released on DVD in 2002, the visual footage of "Guns, God And Government" was taken from numerous concerts around the world during the tour, set to the audio soundtrack from the Los Angeles show. Now for the first time, this Blu-ray presents the original high-definition L.A. footage and soundtrack together as a cohesive concert film. The spectacular staging, the costumes, the lighting and the charismatic presence of Marilyn Manson himself combine to make this the ultimate live Marilyn Manson release. Bonus Features: "The Death Parade" - an all access, no holds barred film of life on the road with Marilyn Manson featuring cameo appearances by Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne and Eminem among others. TRACK LISTING: 1) Irresponsible Hate Anthem 2) The Reflecting God 3) Great Big White World 4) Disposable Teens 5) The Fight Song 6) The Nobodies 7) Rock Is Dead 8) The Dope Show 9) Crucifiction In Space 10) Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) 11) The Love Song 12) Antichrist Superstar 13) The Beautiful People 14) Astonishing Panorama Of Endtimes 15) Lunchbox

If you are looking for a great Manson DVD, this is the one
I bought this when it first came out while I was in high school. I was so upset it was stolen from me, because this DVD is phenomenal! Years and years later, I revisited my Manson obsession and re-bought this.Wow. It is just as great now as it was then! The DVD is beautifully put together from the title menu until the end. It follows Manson's tour around the world, during the Holy Wood period. Since this DVD is Manson approved and not a concert footage DVD by someone outside of Manson's camp, the shots during the concert are close-up and clear. The audio is perfect. Manson covers songs such as: The Love Song, The Death Song, Antichrist Superstar, Cruci-Fiction in Space, The Reflecting God and more. There is also a 30 minute short film called the Death Parade which documents Manson's backstage antics as well as scenes of his travels around the world at this time. The menu for the DVD is great because it lets you choose by song if you do not wish to watch the entire concert, and so you don'r have to keep scrolling through the DVD to find the one song song you'd like to hear. This DVD is a must for all Manson fans! Since it is approved by Manson, it is done very well, unlike all the crappy DVD put out by others to make a quick buck containing awful quality footage.

Wild reckless FUN!
What a great concert montage! I almost felt like I was at the concert(s). MM is a perfectionist and attends to every single detail in his performances. You gotta love that in any performer.Great editing from MM concerts worldwide on the Guns, God, Govt tour into one wonderful unique concert for this DVD. The sound is great, so plan on cranking it up LOUD.I loved seeing the entire band play with reckless abandon. They all poured 110% into their performances. The costumes were great, lighting was perfect, special effects were terrific! The Death Parade film is a behind the scenes look at the band which was fun, except I could have done without the temper tantrums.I have watched this twice already this week, and I will be watching it many more times. WAY too much fun! LOVED IT>BTW: This DVD is a "Must Have" for any MM fan!

Do you love your Guns...God...Government? F*** YEAH!!
This is (without a doubt) THEE best Marilyn Manson DVD out there!! Packed with some of his best songs, the self-proclaimed God of F*** hits us again with his lyrics about Sex, Drugs, Religion, and everything in between! While I have been a Manson fan for a very long time, I (sadly) haven't been able to see him live. But this DVD makes up for that ten-fold! I feel like I am right there, in concert, with Marilyn Manson! Seriously...If you downright love Marilyn Manson or just sort of like his music, buy this DVD, and I guarantee you that you will love Marilyn Manson after watching this. His performance is theatrical, his delivery is driven, and this DVD is a God-send! Especially after listening to "The High End of Low".

BEST music video in my collection!
I'll start by saying that I'm a huge Manson fan and have been since around the mid 90's. I've seen them live several times in that time span. I've had the DVD with the same title for awhile and assumed this was the same but on Blu-ray, not the case at all. It's a live show from start to finish! Nothing is as good as the real live experience but this is as close as it gets. Definitely my favorite Blu-ray I've bought so far, it looks sooooooooooooooooo good.-MUST HAVE FOR ANY MANSON FAN-

A bit suprised
I have been a fan of manson for a while, mainly his older stuff. this disc captures everything from american to holywood. so its all the good stuff. I must say I have a pretty big collection of Blu Rays, between me and my roomie about 300. This has to be the clearest sharpest vid quality I have seen yet. The colors are sharp and distinct I am really impressed the quality here. The mix in 5.1 comes out great. so if your a manson fan this is some really good quality footage...enjoy

Poor editing in an otherwise great concert.
As it was mentioned before, Manson's can clearly be head singing while the microphone was down or his mouth was closed. I don't know if he lip-synched that particular show because of vocal problems (it was one of the last shows on the tour after all) and he half-assed his performance, or it was dubbed in during the editing of the BluRay to fix any mistakes he may have made. The band seems to be playing live so I can't imagine the audio being from a different show(s) (unless the band plays the exact same thing in the exact same way in every show which is highly unlikely). Besides the editing flubs, the concert must've been killer to witness live. I'm sad to say that I was never able to experience Manson in his good years (pre-2007). His latest performances have been terrible and his band is no longer solid. Either drugs have caught up to him or age, but given the fact that his former master, Trent Reznor, is older than he is (albeit slightly) but far surpasses him in music, image and performance, I would say that the drugs have finally caught up and whatever emotional problems Manson has been harboring has finally taken its toll. I hope he gets his act together, move Twiggy back on bass, and start writing some albums with effort. Until then, I'm happy to be able to listen to his good albums and watch old videos of his performances on the internet.I'm also hoping for an official blu-ray release of a show of his other tours (most notably the Grotesque tour and Against All Gods tour).
