Works great!!
My family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens) drive to/from New Jersey- Florida every year. This was a perfect solution for lunch. Easy, economical and convenient. After 8 hours of "cooking" it was boiling hot. Fits 5 cups of ingredients. I made chili and served with chips. Portions weren't huge but sufficient to get us thru until dinner. We set this up in rear area of car and placed it inside plastic storage container to catch spills which are inevitable since the car is in motion, bumps, turns etc. But its not like we had major spillage. The elastic strap to hold lid is simple but smart solution. I purchased a square plastic container and silicon pad from Dollar Tree which fit the crock pot perfectly and will also do well for storage when not in use. For both batches of chili, i used cooked meats but it got so hot, i imagine it would sufficiently cook any raw foods.

Great little item!!!
We purchased ours earlier in the year expecting to use it almost right away. Road trip never happened so it sat in the box. Finally this week broke it out of the box; and using a 30amp switching power supply with a cigarette jack on it, we actually used it in the house to prepare a small beef stew. The power supply didn't even get luke warm. The RoadPro pulls about 8 amps of current at 14 volts; well under the standard 10 amp capacity of most cigarette lighter jacks in most vehicles. To stabilize it in a moving vehicle, we will use 2 to 4 "bungee" straps to clamp it down on the floor in the back seat of my Ford Escape to keep it from moving. Also can put stuff around it (though nothing that can melt!) to help keep it in place. This unit does get warm to the touch so be careful. But; after 8 hours of cook time, this blessed me with a very generous amount of beef stew; suitable to feed 3 people if you count other fixings with it. Very handy item!!!

Barely warms food
Why did you pick this product vs others?:It is the only one that claims to heat up food through a vehicle 12v outlet.Build quality:The plug disintegrates because the groove in the plastic housing the fuse becomes loose and the bolt securing the unscrews and disintegrated the plug.Heat level:After 1hour the pot is hot to the touch but food is barely warm. Value for money:Please do not waste your money here.

Nice little 12v sliw cooker
Its not most powerful, its like a regular one on low but keeping that in mind it works perfect and is perfect in my camper.

Works great for tailgating!
At this point I have used the RoadPro Slow Cooker twice and it has worked fantastic. We bought it for use in our RV, but actually haven't used it there yet. Both times I have used it I cooked breakfast items (a breakfast casserole and crock pot caramel rolls) on the way to tailgating and it worked awesome. One thing that's nice is that the size of the crock is pretty standard as far as smaller crock pots go, so I was able to start an item at home in another crock pot, then transfer it to the RoadPro to finish the last hour or so while I drove to the tailgate lot. When I got there my buddies and I enjoyed a great, and very hot, breakfast.I've seen reports that over extended periods that cigarette outlet plug in might get really hot and that it can cause a problem. I can't speak to that issue because 90 minutes is the longest I have had this crock pot plugged into a cigarette outlet.

Great crock pot
Love that it fits in small space and it holds a good amount. It’s not like home plug in one does take a little time. We are truckers and make lots of meals and warm up foods in this.

Lasted 5 months
Great while it lasted but after about 5 months the wires burnt at the connection

Worked like a champ
It definitely works. It is a crock pot/slow cooker, hence it cooks slow. Not sure why people dont understand that. Took 6/7 hour while i drove to cook a large FROZEN chicken breast and enough veggies for 3 people and 1/4 cup of water. Worked like a champ. It will get warm so i leave it sitting seated on the Styrofoam bottom piece it was packaged with. It keeps it sitting flat and safe from touching anything or moving while I drive.Update I have owned this for a few months now and I've taken it on thousands of miles worth of trips and it still works like a champ. I have celiac disease so I have to prepare my own food always. This thing is a lifesaver when I am traveling in the car.
