I use this medium to do several different things in my mixed media works. I mix it in with my paint to give some sections different texture and I also use it to seal a finished piece. I would say it is a good medium. It didn’t blow me out of the water or anything, but it does get the job done. I would say I prefer it over the crappy hobby lobby or micheals store brand version if that helps anyone narrow it down. Typically I use liquitex professional or golden mediums to seal when I am finished but those can be rather expensive so I would looking for different alternatives. I would recommend you try it to see if it gives you a look you might like. I think that is a huge things with art supplies. Everyone likes specific things and trying them is about the only way to know your preferences.

I’m not a good painter but I LOVE this varnish for my paintings. Give it a slight gloss and makes me feel more confident and relaxed about having them around and about.
