The features of this feeder including programmable schedule, amount fed each time, camera to visualize pet, microphone to call and talk with pet are great, work well and for an very affordable price. Easy to set up and program or change settings. 5/5 stars but may need to secure top to prevent outdoor animals raiding it if used outdoors.

This feeder works great - we have it on our covered porch tucked in the corner and totally protected from wind and rain. We use it to supplement our outdoor working cats. The camera is clear even with the night vision and it connects with the Smart Life app on our phones via a bluetooth/alexa set up. I'm not a tech guru but we did get it to work remotely and that is fantastic. I can feed and see the cats no matter where we are. It is also another security source as it will trigger a picture whenever there is movement...we've caught a few sneaky opossums and raccoons...but most importantly we were able to track when the cats naturally came for food and then set their auto schedule accordingly. Now- for the customer service: I HIGHLY recommend this Frienhund brand and seller. Even though the product listing says you can use it outside I do not think it is weatherproof. We did technically put it outside even though it is still completely protected from the elements. Well, we had some very cold below freezing days and too many of them in a row caused the machine to work only sporadically. It would show feeding success but no kibbles (friskies dry cat food) dispensed. Otherwise, it worked perfectly, and is a great value for all the features you get. So, I was past the 30day amazon return deadline. I emailed Frienhund customer service and Shelly responded in 24hrs and offered solutions to my satisfaction. It was quick and painless. I am very impressed. And my cats are happy being fed again. Thank you Frienhund!

I want to leave this review because I feel like this company has been really awesome to me. I purchased my pet feeder last May and it worked well for the few months that I used it. I then moved out of the state and it sat in storage for a while. I finally moved to a new apartment and plugged it back in and was having a really difficult time connecting it to the Internet. I called and I spoke to customer service and the young lady was so patient trying to help me connect to the Internet, but it just did not work. They then sent me a brand new pet feeder and it has been working wonderfully for the last couple weeks. I contacted the company directly and it was not through Amazon. I just can’t believe that after all this time, almost a year after the fact, they sent me a brand new pet feeder and it’s an improved model for free. Truly great customer service and very great product. My cat is very happy and so am I. The quality of the camera is impressive too. Thank you Frienhund, you guys are the best and I recommend you to everybody looking for a good quality automatic pet feeder.

Some of the descriptions say that this feeder also has a camera. It does not. But with the app, which is somewhat annoying for the level of information it asks to establish an account, it works well. Food is dispensed on time and easily. For our cat, portion sizes are perfect. It is a bargain for the price and if you can live with the initial set up details such as the software developers knowing your location and so on…it’s a good buy.

I have had a few different gantry style feeders in the past. The feeder is my favorite one. The only downside for my dog is that when the feeder disperses food it makes a beep. And for whatever reason that triggers my dog and she's not a huge fan. The 7L food capacity is very nice. I don't need to refill nearly as much as the others I've had. The unit itself was extremely easy to put together and the App wasn't that bad either.

This feeder has been a savior for us and our cat really loves it. It works well and you can connect to it through Smart Life app and monitor and change settings. The camera feature is great both day and night, helps us be relieved that our cat is safe and happy. I would highly recommend this seller as they are very nice and approachable if you face any issues.

The product is easy to setup, sturdy, only makes noise when dropping food in the bowl. Good design, just the right size for our pet.

Update: Had issues programming as noted below but found information online and got them setup right and they work really good, love them so far. I received a call back from Claudeth at the company to make sure it all worked out and made some suggestions on the manual. She contacted me today to let me know they listened and are working on the manual. So far we are very happy with the units and how they work and the puppies love the setup!!!Original: purchased 2 units for our puppies. one "feed" does not drop enough food and we are having trouble figuring out the software to drop more food. Every call to customer service goes on hold and a couple minutes later hangs up....what a waste of time
