Really? A managed switch at this price?
I admit that I was a tad skeptical when I saw this, but I decided to buy it anyway. I was kind of leery that a managed switch for less than $16 would be much good. Heck, right here in Amazon, there are UNMANAGED switches that cost more than that. Well, color me surprised. I have had this thing for a while now, and have put it through its paces. I have made many fancy segmentations in my network, and it handled them all correctly. Right now, I returned it to factory defaults, then set it up with a fixed IP address that matches a DHCP reservation that I set for it. That way, I always know its IP address and can connect to it easily. This is a good, solid, metal-encased switch; not some plastic junk. I am thinking of getting a higher capacity switch from this Goalake manufacturer. It would appear that getting good networking hardware may not need to be as expensive as it often looks.

Functioning well!
Bought this to replace a smaller switch in order to expand use in my home office. Not really necessary to get a "managed" switch, but the price was good and the item has been functioning well since I received it. I like the ability to "log in" and see what the ports are doing, as well as the ability to make individual adjustments to each if necessary.

Works perfectly
Super easy to set up. I used this to split 1 ethernet cable into 4 to connect multiple servers to my modem. It does need a power source, but I have been using it and the computers on a surge protector and it works fine.

Outstanding quality and value!
This does exactly what it claims. Most POE powered switches are pass through, which is not what I wanted. This is exactly what I wanted. POE powered switch that delivers five normal gigabit ethernet ports. Immediately after plugging in I tested it and got full speed. This was an extremely satisfying purchase. Not only was it inexpensive, It is very high-quality. It is metal and heavy and it even came with an AC adapter, which I will not need since it is fully powered by POE. I cannot recommend this enough. Well done.

At the end of the day, I just can't trust it.
The promise of a feature-rich, web-managed 5-port gigabit switch for under $10 was compelling. It had everything I needed for a simple network drop in my utility closet, including a built-in power supply. However, my experience quickly turned concerning. After deployment, I observed unusual network activity and even a brief outage. More alarmingly, I discovered the switch was initiating outbound communications from my network, despite me never enabling any "Cloud" or remote management features. This directly contradicts the expectation of a locally managed device and raises significant privacy flags about what data it might be transmitting. For clarity and peace of mind, I chose to return this switch. I've since replaced it with a Netgear GS305E, which provides the local management I need without the hidden outbound traffic. If network privacy is a concern for you, I strongly advise investing in a more reputable brand.

Not really a "managed" switch.
Works OK but I'm unable to manage. The app (Amitres) says "Device offline" whenever I try to add it. There is no support phone number and they haven't responded to What's app messages Edit: Finally heard back from them. I had already figured out the rather difficult process to get the app to talk to the switch. Adding a star because they did get back to me.
