A fabulous heating pad with an amazing blend of therapies, including PEMF and photon …
This is not your ordinary, run of the mill heating pad. I waited for some time for this to arrive as, I’m sure, a lot of care and craftsmanship that goes into production. It was definitely worth the wait. There’s a blend of therapies that remind me of the time I stood in a Chinese dispensary with centuries old medicines on one side and a modern-day pill dispensary on the other. In this heating pad alone, there are photon LED lights and amazing natural healing stones. A blend, a fabulous blend, but I digress. There are three different, natural gemstones in this heating pad: tourmaline, amethyst, and jade. The healing properties are well-known, but they also emit negative ions. The higher the temp, the more that are emitted. Now, this heating pad has a range of temperatures from 95°F (35°C) to 160°F (70°). The temperature depends on what I want to do from an overnight therapy to an intense sauna-like one. The average heating pad, in my experience ranges from 140°F to 167°F. This heating pad does take a bit to heat up, but provides a steady heat. One interesting feature is that by using an emergency Mylar space heating blanket, I can reflect the heat and get that sauna-like experience. The heating blanket was included, but they are readily available for purchase. A towel can be used in its stead to capture the heat as well. There are a couple of form-fitting pads that are included. Depending on use, these are highly recommended, integral parts of the package. The pad can be used without a cover (I used it this way), but only on the lower temperatures. It also has a PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field) therapy feature set at 7.83 Hz. Just how good can it get? This is a safe therapy for most with some exceptions such as pregnant women. I do have a lot to learn about this particular therapy, but have the option of whether or not I want to use in in the meantime. Word is, is that it’s a good therapy for anxiety disorders, but I’m not a medical practitioner so one should do their own research on the PEMF therapy. In the brief time I’ve had this heating pad, I’m learning a lot of interesting facts and theories. There’s also the photon light (660 nm) therapy button, which I know even less about. It’s purportedly a skin-friendly light for a number of issues. Psoriasis, wrinkles, scars, however, this is the controversial therapy. Once again, do your own research and come to your own conclusions. I found the heating pad to be super comfortable, but I probably wouldn’t use in during the night. I do layer and use a regular heating pad for pain relief and comfort, but will have to work with this one. The benefits are many, but what I do know is that I’m incredulous at how well this package was put together. Heck, there was even an extra fuse in the package. Highly recommended!TEMPERATURE CONTROL (from the User Guide, abbreviated):1. 95°F to 105°F (35 to 40°C) Overnight or Prolonged Use“Promotes better sleep and the relaxation of both mind and body. The safe setting for those who have a sensitivity to heat.”2. 105°F to 130°F (45 to 55°C) Under a 2-Hour Period of Use“Temporary relief of joint pain, stiffness, and minor muscle pain; provides muscular relaxation, and a temporary increase in local circulation where applied.”3. 130°F to 150°F (55 to 65°C) 30 to 90 Minute Periods of Use“Temporary relief of joint pain, stiffness, and minor muscle pain; provides muscular relaxation, and a temporary increase in local circulation where applied.”4. 150°F to 160°F (65 to 70°C) 30 to 60 Minute Periods of Use“Provides a far-infrared sauna experience when the heat is trapped … the body works hard to release sweat, temporarily improving circulation, and recovering faster.” (Limited use recommended, 1x daily)

Unlike regular heating pads - you can lean, sit and lay on this pad!!
Love this high-tech heating pad! Mainly because I can sit, lean against or lay on it - for hours on end and it won't hurt it (or me). I especially love that I can sleep with this on. The heat from this feels fantastic and penetrates deeply, warming my insides as well as the surface area close to the mat. It takes time for this to warm up - it's super thick, so no surprise, and it takes about an hour for this to warm me through, but eventually my whole body feels warm (expect on really cold days, then I need a blanket to warm my whole body).I ordered this hoping it would help with hip pain, and it slowly is improving, so I'm very happy with the results so far. It takes time, but I'm not doing anything else to help my hips while I sit, so might as well let this do it work over time.I either sit on it or lean against it during the day. It's also helping with some upper back pain too. Then at night I turn the temp down from 110F-130F to 100F and sleep with it under my calves, ankles and feet, and slowly I've noticed better circulation and less foot, ankle and heel pain too. It's helping to heal the bursa in one heel that has been very painful and keeps flaring up (from use, like I need to walk), so I had hoped this pad would help with that too. Really seems to be effective over a period of time, so I'm keeping this for daily/nightly use item. I'll typically turn it on in the evenings, and then move it to use all night for my feet.I totally want to get the TAJ-Mat™ Full Pro PLUS 7428 full body mat for my bed so that my entire body can fully benefit from this working while I sleep. This comes well box and with nice accessories, including a thin waterproof cover and a padded mat cover. However, I'm not super impressed with the padded mat cover. It's supposed to be cotton, but I've never had an issue with cotton snagging, pilling and having nylon-ish strands that feel like spider weds that pull out of this pad. I'm really disappointed with this padded cover, as it looks awful in just a few weeks of use. I expected it to last for years. I have other similar looking and feeling pads that have never pilled, snagged or have weird fly away fibers on their tops. Wish the mat padded cover was much nicer - especially for the price of this product.I had no idea what the little clear bottle with a metal pellet in it was, until I went to the Healthyline website and looked at products there and the PEMF capsule was mentioned there - otherwise I would have never known it was a PEMF tester. The PEMF is a bit confusing, as it has a wide range of levels it can be set at - yet very little instructions how to use those settings. Only that the earth's magnetic frequency is about an 8 and it supposedly comes from the factory set at 8, however mine was set at 22 - so that's very confusing. I did do some research, and best I can figure is to just set mine at 8 for the widest range of benefits with the lowest possible risk - and leave it there. Some websites suggest using PEMF 3 times a day for 30 minutes and list different setting strengths for different goals/benefits. But this pad has a built in 10-minute timer and then the PEMF auto shuts off. You, of course can turn it back on, but it would be nice if this too had a timer (and way better instructions). At first, I didn't think the PEMF worked as the included capsule with a tiny magnet in it did nothing when I ran it over the mat (after it had been on for 30 minutes.) So, I turned the mat off and back on and turned on the PEMF and sure enough the magnet jumped about in the capsule and wildly as it got closer to the actual PEMF spots, then the PEMF shuts off and the magnet stops jumping around. I do need to learn more about how to properly use the PEMF feature of this mat and not just guessing at the settings and then once per day for 10 minutes. Aside from my lack of PEMF knowledge I'm onboard with all the other features claimed with this mat.Check out the Healthyline website for more info on their products.
