Wicked gift but dont be fooled by its size ;)
Such a wicked item and its very well received by my 7 year old. Looks can be deceiving though ;) it is NOT as big as they show on the original picture, again a sad face when my son saw the box. Its roughly 30-40cm and as I'm female, I'm not to bad with measurements! You get 2 batteries for the car, the finger/hand control and an actual control. You'll need 2 x AA batteries for 1 remote and 2 x AAA for the other, just to make life more complicated! The 2 batteries for the car is a good idea so whilst 1 is charging, you can still play with the other. The sounds can be turned on our off as the music can be annoying as the labour government ;) all in all, a great gift to keep kids happy but don't be fooled by its size or capabilities. It doesn't go up the stairs or across sand. It struggles on the grass so indoors or outside on the road worked for us. We got the red coloured car as our son said it looks like spiderman

Disappointing and so much smaller than shown
Item disappointing as it’s shown much bigger than it actually is although it is a good little gift but not worth what I paid for the size of it

Fun but noisy remote control car
The first time I unboxed the 4DRC Spider I half expected it to start chatting in robotic bleeps, it looks that cartoonish. In motion it is even cheekier. The little four-wheel-drive terror scuttles across the lounge, flips onto its roof, pirouettes in tight circles, then drifts away on those clever Mecanum rollers as though buttered. It shoots pulses of coloured LEDs, pumps out tin-pot tunes, and exhales a wispy vapour that passes for exhaust smoke. Two rechargeable battery packs last roughly eighty minutes which is long enough for the children to empty their lungs shouting before the USB cable is hunted down. I handed the ordinary handset to my nephew first, but the real magic arrived with the gesture-control glove. A lazy twist of his wrist sent the car jack-knifing across carpet, tiles, grass and the patio without a murmur of complaint. The shell feels reassuringly tough, the rubber tyres shrug off crashes down the stairs, and the 2.4 GHz link stays solid even when three more cousins pitch their own cars into the mêlée. There are irritations, naturally. The promotional photos hint at a beast the size of a Labrador, when in truth it is closer to a shoe-box. The music can be silenced, yet the volume is fixed at cheerful-arcade level, so adults may find themselves reaching for ear defenders during lengthy play sessions. Minor grumbles aside, the Spider packs a remarkable amount of mischief into its small frame. It is durable, funny to watch, and the novelty of steering by waving a hand still makes me grin. For the current asking price I am quite content to let it harass the skirting boards while the youngsters burn off their sugar rush.
