Quick, smooth, tasty
I like to make pancakes for breakfast, but I don't always feel good about the syrup. Yummy, but, I dunno, just makes me feel guilty doing that all the time. So I like to put gravy on my pancakes. I usually BOU gravy cubes, which make great tasting gravy, but I'm there forever stirring and still never get all the lumbs out. I tried gravy out of a bottle from the store, very convenient, but doesn't taste too good. This McCormack gravy mix cooks right up, quickly, no lumps, and tastes great.

Great value over buying individual packets
While I typically only use this for one specific recipe, it is much more economical than buying the individual packets. You also don't have to worry about whether or not you ran out as this lasts quite a while. If you use brown gravy mix even somewhat regularly, then you really can't go wrong with this.

Love All the Ways to Use It
This is a great gluten free gravy mix and couldn't be easier. Obviously, you're going to use as much mix and water as will be necessary. Basically, it takes about a 1/4 cup of gravy mix to a cup of water to make gravy. If you're wanting to flavor roast or soups, you'll use a lot more water. The container doesn't have instructions, like the packages do.I purchased the container at the same time from Amazon, that I purchased the Poultry Gravy Mix. I used the Poultry Gravy Mix with my turkey broth and drippings (like I always do) to make gravy on Thanksgiving. OMG, it was HORRIBLE!!! It tasted like RANCID SALT!!!! I thought there must be something wrong with my broth, so I tried just making regular gravy out of it. NO! IT WAS BAD GRAVY MIX!!! Now, I have to try to get a refund and that's not easy on food items!!! But, Thanksgiving wasn't ruined, because I made this brown gravy up. OK, it wasn't poultry, but at least it was edible. After dinner, my sister said, "What's the date on the BAD gravy?" Guess what? There is NO DATE. The date has been REMOVED!! The brown gravy does have a very vivid date, but NONE on the bad poultry gravy. This was FULFILLED BY AMAZON. I realize they are not the sellers, but can't they tell when an item has DUST on it and NO DATE, that just maybe that's not a good item?I do recommend this brown gravy, but I suggest you check the date on your gravy cartons when you get them, so you don't end up with bad ones.
