These are a game changer!
These shoes were comfortable right out of the box. For me, they required no "break-in" time. I have been experiencing neuropathy symptoms in my feet for about a year and a half, but I am not diabetic. I do, however, have feet that are very wide. Apparently they appreciate the extra width and depth these shoes provide, because my feet do not ache and burn like they did before. I am able to stand for long periods of time, and walking is enjoyable again. I am very happy with my purchase.

Good for foot pain
My husband was complaining about pain at the top of his foot. He is borderline diabetic and on his feet all day. I did a search for best brands for this type of foot issue and this brand was recommended. They came with inserts he has chosen not to use. He has not been complaining about his feet and wears them every day. They are pretty clunky looking because the bottom sole is pretty thick. But he is not into fashion over comfort so these seem to fit the bill, even at the price. I told him if he didn't get $100 worth of foot relief they were going back, and he continues to wear them.

Comfortable shoes with an attention to detail.
Because it is not leather tops it gets higher marks from me. The leather tops are higher priced without any noticable comfort increase. And these are lighter weight while still providing good support. They have non marking soles for court use. This shoe comes with comfort inserts and optional planter's inserts that I cannot review because I have my own.I actually removed the insert, placed a thinner one from Dr sholls and then inserted my prescribed inserts. Reason? The very comfortable inserts provided were too padded for adding prescribed inserts on top of them. However with the included planter's inserts there may not be a need for prescribed inserts. These are worth the elevated price out of the box imho. About $100 + tx.The reason it's not 5 stars is that the toe area is cut on a bit of a slant which ignores those who's second toe is longer than the first. "Me".It is occasionally a reminder that I should adjust socks. Overall a rare quality shoe which is what you should expect for the price.

Relief
After trying several of the big name brands with limited relief from foot pain and blisters, these shoes are extremely comfortable. I am 75 and walk 2 miles every morning (except for lighting and ice).
