I tried three other Ouidad products before trying this with Moisture Lock Curl Butter. Apply separately (will pill if mixed) to get good curl hold & memory in a soft to touch finish.

One star because it smells really good. Otherwise this is garbage. It shouldn't even be called gel. I previously used the curl immersion custard and it was incredible so of course they discontinued that. This was recommended by my stylist, but I had a blowout that day so I didn't get to have her try it on me it first. I bought it, and I'm returning it. There is no extreme hold. There's no cast to break into defined curls. There's actually zero hold. It also made my curls stringy. If your curls are like mine and can't be trusted, and you end up looking like an alpaca hours later without a good hold, this isn't for you. Don't be fooled by the description and save your money.

I have very fine curly hair that is thinning. While this is a really thick gel, not normally what you'd put on hair like mine, I love it! My hairdresser was shocked how well it worked on my hair. It's the only product I've found that holds my curls for a couple days without weighing them down. I pair it with the Ouidad Climate Control Curl Cream and touchup with the Ouidad Climate Control curl refreshing gel.

Not as good of a hold as I hoped for

Huge fan of this gel for my loose curls. Nice strong hold without being crunchy at all once you break the cast. Like the container because it’s so much easier than squeezing gel out of a bottle. Not a fan of other ouidad products because they contain silicones and make my hair look awful- this one is a keeper though!

With wavy hair it's hard to find gel that holds strong but is lightweight. This is the gel! It smells nice, it makes my hair shiny and look so healthy, very happy with this product!

Since the repackaging of this product, something has changed in the formula. It does not have as much hold, my curls are not as defined, and not as moisturized. I have changed nothing else in my routine, so I’m super disappointed.
