I really like this kettle which I have been using for six months. I use it to brew instant coffee each morning mixing the coffee right into the interior. First I heat the water to 195F and after it reaches stability I mix in the instant coffee. Just the right temperature to add to a mug with cold milk and so good for the warm-me-up additions later. I highly recommend using an illuminated outlet switch such as the POWER-ON ANKO Wall tap Adapter with Power switch (4 pack) available at Amazon. This is a safety measure such that when kettle is not in service the power base is not energized. Also if there is ever a need to turn it off when in service that switch makes it so easy. I use a 16 gauge extension cord with the power switch right close to the kettle within easy reach access. Although my Penguin styled Fashome unit is not currently available there are a few solid color units available with the same specifications. Just search with “Fashome kettle” to locate. Highly recommended

I ordered this and it came defective. None of its buttons worked. I had it replaced but the 2nd one that i got worked for 31 days and then the buttons stopped responding to touch or push. That’s 1 day past the 30-day return window! What a waste of money. Note that i was never able to set the temperature to an exact number. That feature doesn’t work. It’s only either boiling point or keep warm. Why did you pick this product vs others?: because it is a cute design and the features described matched what i was looking for. Temperature control: Only boiling point OR keep warm. I couldn’t set the exact temperature I wanted. Heat up: fast heating. Looks: cute design

I haven't ever used any other electric kettles so I cant compare it to others. I mostly ordered it because I got the penguin colored one. It heats up the right amount of water for me to have tea for 3 of my 12oz cups of tea. The controls are really easy to use. It displays the preset temps as you cycle through them with the "keep warm" setting. It beeps when the water is to the desired temp. It boils water pretty quickly. Our stovetop is super slow, so I split my large pot of pasta water between it and the pot. After boiling two kettles of water I tried to remove the lid for a 3rd and the plastic edge on top detached a bit (hence 4 stars instead of 5). It's also not the best lid design. It's not the easiest to grip and open. I think if I had long nails I wouldnt be able to open it at all.

Excellent product! Heats water at desired temperature super quick and keeps water at desiredtemperature with auto shut off! I use this every day!

I bought this kettle in May of 2025, and now, in October 2025, it's broken. Right now, every time I plug the kettle in, the keep warm function will randomly go off. If I ever try to boil water, it gets interrupted by the keep warm feature. This thing is unusable and smells like burning plastic on the rare occasion it does work. I knew it would be a cheap kettle, but a 5 month lifespan is unacceptable. I will say it was 5 good months.

It's OK. It heats up fast. Expensive for what you get. The buttons have to be mashed to work, interface and options are a bit complex and cumbersome. Well insulated, so exterior doesn't get too hot. Would I buy it again? Probably not.
