Bella Vado, Extra Virgin Avocado Oil (Lime)

Im a food psycho, I admit it. But this snuck up on me- avocado oil! I'd never ever heard about it before, and anything avocado has me at Hello:) At the $21 it cost me for this medium sized bottle, it didn't come cheap. But with a husband who is trying to avoid family heart problems, and me needing more QUALITY calories in my diet, this looked really promising!It arrived it good time, incredibly well packaged, and I opened it immediately. I was initially put off by the smell, but after a minute or two I had fallen in love with it! The thing that surprised me was how thick it was. I wasn't expecting it to be so rich in green color and thick like pancake syrup. But as soon as heat gets to it, it morphs into the most versatile oil I've ever used in my kitchen! Or in my bath! It's fantastic for skin and hair applications! Because this is first press/raw/pure awesomeness, it has a very heavy color and is brimming with vitamins and minerals. To me organic is important, and I love that its a product from right here in our USofA.As for taste, I thought it would make our food taste avocado-y, but it just imparts a unique flavor that compliments everything that touches it. Nutty, but really delicate & mild. Ive even put a tablespoon in green smoothies, in marinades & dressings, and on the grill. It is really incredible that you can fry with it and stir fry with it and not smoke up your kitchen too! I'll never be without this in my kitchen again.

This product arrived very quickly, only a couple of days after placing the order. It was well packaged and in excellent condition. I decided to try Bella Vado’s Avocado Oil because #1 the avocados are produced organically in the USA, picked when ripe, processed in nut-free, non-GMO facilities close to where they are harvested; #2 after extraction via cold-pressed methods, the unrefined, unfiltered oil is stored in dark green glass bottles (not plastic!), demonstrating a respect for its value and concern for sustaining its quality that I really appreciate as the consumer; #3 Bella Vado is a family operated business. Upon opening the bottle I was surprised by the rich, deep green avocado color of the oil that immediately suggested a level of quality far exceeding the other two avocado oils I have tried to date. I use avocado oil in lieu of commercially made skin products and altho the brand I was using claimed to be organic their information was scant. It turns out their product was inferior as well when compared to Bella Vado’s oil. I was searching for a vender and oil in which I could have maximum confidence. I also shared a sample of this oil with a friend who struggles with eczema and she has been both surprised and very pleased with the improvement in her skin using this oil. I am pleased to give Bella Vado’s Avocado Oil the highest possible recommendation.

Another delicious organic avocado oil in glass packaging. This stuff is truly amazing and great for high heat cooking. When we make Indian food and often calls for vegetable oil or ghee we use this avocado oil instead. The flavor is very good and you can use it in almost anything.The flavor is very good and you can use it in almost anything. My biggest complaint is that the price of this avocado oil has gone up. It’s gotten to the point that it’s no longer affordable for me to buy so I’m starting to have to look elsewhere.

People complain that this oil is expensive but the quality is worth it. The oil is cold pressed and unrefined meaning it has most of the good nutrients. I can't find that at my local Whole Foods store. At first the smell threw me off but the product works really well with my skin so I don't mind. I put a little on my makeup wipes to clean my face and moisturize at the same time. That will last me a long time. It's also my number one oil for OCM since I can use this oil often versus coconut oil (which builds up on your skin if used daily = bad). It comes in a dark glass bottle which is good for storing avocado oil.Shipping was fast. And the sample of avocado bar soap that came with the package is amazing. After you wash your hands, they feel smooth and clean. I will definitely buy the bar soap in the near future. Never change Bella Vado!

I bought this oil primarily to use as a face moisturizer believe it or not (thanks to Lupita's beauty secrets). I can feel it sink in and although my face smells like a vegetable at night when I do this (obviously...I'm putting straight up oil on), the result is worth it. My skin the next morning has a glow and is super soft for the remainder of the day. I feel like it really gets in my pores and evens out my skin tone. You can put coconut oil over top to make it smell better but you'll be rubbing it in for a very long time before you can comfortably lay down on your pillows. I've used this oil to make dressings also and found it to be excellent. I'm a huge fan of anything truly organic and I support farmers who don't use GMO's, etc. All of that being said, I was impressed that my order came with a sample of honey almond avocado lotion. That was a cute little surprise that lets me know they appreciate my business and care about their product. Love that!

It has been impossible for me to find unrefined organic avocado oil. I like to saute at times and needed a high heat oil for that purpose~~~just to be certain that the smoke point would be high enough. First of all, customer service was very prompt and friendly re: my inquiry as to whether or not the bottle is glass. Hooray! Have no fear~~It is a (dark) glass bottle! The next lovely surprise was that this item arrived in no time at all! Then I sprinkled a few drops on some steamed vegetables~~what a really lovely flavor!! Next I mixed it as a finish with my old standby, organic cold -pressed olive oil. What a flavor combination!! Alone or in combination with another oil this is an excellent product. It has a very high smoke point. This means that it will not begin to "smoke" till 450 degrees. The bottle states that this avocado oil is "perfect for grilling, finishing, bread dips and sald dressings." I will purchase their other flavors as well. Great product! Thanks, Amazon! You did it again!!
