I am not a good cook. I find everyday cooking a very strenuous activity. The main reason for that is lack of proper measurements, without that my dishes taste horrible 90% of the time. Then I came across Preppy Kitchen. John has a knack to guide you through cooking which makes it impossible to spoil anything. Besides my son loves it. It's almost like the recipes are tailor made to suit his taste. I was already familiar with the recipes from YouTube. So buying the book was a way to show our love and appreciation to our favourite chef. Thank you John. The book is beautiful and I loved the pictures. I think I will buy the other book too. It's a nice change to get the recipes from the book. For those who are new, if you like western cuisine do give it a try. The recipes are easy to tweak according to the items in our local market and tastes really nice. Thank you John for sharing it with us.

John Kanell’s books “Preppy Kitchen” and “Preppy Kitchen Super Easy” are now my go to recipe books, despite having a huge collection. To everyone’s delight I have been baking up a storm as I try one after another of his recipes for cakes and cookies. Of course his other dishes are all excellent too. Each and everything I have made from these books has been a complete success. He offers precise measurements in cups or by weight and the instructions are simple and straightforward and fail proof.
