Much better than expected
I was expecting these to do a pretty decent job but they exceeded all my expectations. I had a couple of near misses with my old in-ear buds and not being able to hear traffic behind me at junctions so decided, to be safe, and try these. They are amazing and I feel so much more aware of what’s going on around me. They perform great and I would 100% recommend.SoundExcellent quality sound, both for music and spoken word. Volume is more than enough yet I am still aware of traffic/cyclists etc around me.BatteryDoes what it says, lasts ages and quick to charge if you forget. Would be good if they had an auto-off function if not used for a while but hasn’t caused me any issues, even when I’ve left them on.FunctionalityEasy to connect, simple to use, has real buttons so no accidental pausing/skipping etc. App works well and allows some personalisation.Overall I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing in-ear buds or over-ear headphones. They might just save your life.

Good for running and keeping aware of surroundings
I got this to keep alert when running and races they don't allow other types of headphones. I love the fact that there are physical buttons so can be used when you have gloves on. Pairs easily with the phone. I find it very comfortable on the ears and while the first time feeling the bone conduction was a little weird there is no discomfort (though that can differ from person to person). With the bone conducting tech you are not going to have perfect quality of sound, mainly missing out on bass sounds, I mainly use it for podcasts and audiobooks rather than music. It does last a long time and with the usb c, there is always a cable now for charging

not just for activity, quality sound
what amazed me is how enjoyable these are to listen to just as standard headphones, music sounds open and fresh, as if you were at a personal high quality concert. I turned the bass eq levels up a little and played dark side of the moon - worth the money just to experience your favourite music in a new way. treble and mids particularly clear. when I cupped my hand around my ears the quality was really good too, all sorts of new ways of hearing the music. oh, they were great on my cycle today. sure wind rush noise is not cancelled but sound is pretty good, id never previously wanted to wear headphones before for safety reasons. .

Don’t buy the first ones (£300 dead money) but these seem to fix the problems perfectly
Hi,You can see I have proof of purchase, but what you must know is I also have proof of purchase for Three of the original’s all three of my originals, within a year; in fact one was 6 months but as they would not replace any of them (at £100 I was / am gutted) it was forced to use first the tip of a pen at an angle, then a then screw driver at an angle to switch them on until complete collapse and as I use them pretty much all day everyday because they are fantastic for things like TEAMS calls and you can wear them all the time and switch between having a perfect conversation without removing them, to then switch seamlessly to music/calls/TEAMS without having to remove them. So to see this new version where they have fixed a HUGE expensive! Issue for their customers (that apparently don’t deserve their money back) that being switching on and off over the time or from the start degrading and the silly magnet charger to a simple USBC like Apple and Co now make these perfect. But I will comeback and tell you if not.

Good fit, good sound quality, good battery
I bought these for my wife who wanted a pair of headphones for while she's working out, or doing stuff outside. She's had some Bluetooth in-ear ones for a while, and quite likes them, but they are a little bulky if you're doing physical exercise. She was interested in these bone conduction ones, so I decided to get some for her. These come in two sizes. I measured her head as directed, and she needed the smaller sized ones. In reality, she could probably do with a pair that's got a loop about 1" shorter, as the loop sticks out about 1" from the back of her head. That's the only issue with these: The band isn't adjustable. But, the ear things work, and the fit is good there. She tells me the sound quality is good. Not mind-blowing, but certainly the equal of most headphones. Despite the claim that you can hear what other people are saying, she often has to mute the music or take the phones off to listen to people. Part of me wonders if that's a reflex action from having in-ear headphones, and she'll not need to do that at some point. They look good, and they stay on her head, and sound good. Bluetooth range is good, and battery seems to be good... Nothing to really complain about with the features!I'm not quite sure why these are so expensive compared to other similar models, but they are good, so I'm not unhappy with the purchase.

Not very loud compaired to older models- Not good for cycling
I've owned every version these Shokz headphones right back to the first wired versions. While these are by far the best sound quality of all the versions so far that comes at a cost. And that's the maximum volume. These are so much more quieter than the previous versions. Im going to assume that's because there no longer a bone conducting headphones and now have speaker that play the sound into your open ear rather than before using vibration hence the better sound quality. Now for general use walking about or runnning the sound level is more than adequate. But I bought these for cycling. The main issue you get using headphones cycling is the wind noise. Now with the previous versons of these headphones that wasn't an issue as the sound was sent via vibration. But now there playing the music into your open ear while your get load of wind noise. So if your ride at any speed the sound is drown out. You can still hear it but only just.If you cover your ears with headband then problem solved which is ok in the winter but come summer I won't want to have a headband covering my ears.Very disappointing
