I’m a Philips Hue owner and have never cared for Govee products in the past, however the Evangelion crossover and the unique look of these lights persuaded me to buy them. Out of the box these lights are impressive, they’re nice and solid feeling and the magnetic covers look great and give a nice depth to the lights. Hooking them up is super easy once you decide the shape you want. Overall setup is a breeze! Once set up adding them to the Govee app was incredibly easy. The lights have a ton of great function and pattern options right out of the gate. They’re also extremely bright when turned up, and look great when you turn them to about half power. Overall I’m extremely pleased with these. There’s a lot of great little Eva nods on them, they have a unique futuristic/cyberpunk type feel to them that separates them from the normal lights that Philips or Govee normally sell. My only gripe would be that they should include another set of connectors with them. You get a small square and a small triangle connector in this but it would really open up the set up possibilities if we had a couple more.

I had intended to get the regular version of these light bars, but these were on sale and they are really good looking. I've never watched Evangelion, I grew up in a much earlier era of anime. Dating myself a bit, but I watched Robotech when I got home from school back when it was on broadcast TV. That said, I imagine I probably would have liked Evangelion too, had it been around back then. But as for the lights, I have a couple other things from Govee that I was very impressed by. And to be fair, I'm probably a little old to be farting around with these kinds of lights, but whatever. I enjoy it, so I don't care. These things are very well built, easy to put together and set up, and are really, really good at what they do. They look just fantastic, and you can do pretty much whatever you want them to do. Software is very easy to deal with, and it's no issue syncing them up with any existing lighting you're already using in your PC. And yes, the packaging is really, really impressive and darn cool. It was almost a shame to have to mess with the presentation they did with these. But yeah, if you're looking to do this kind of lighting rig, you're not going to be disappointed with Govee's stuff. Everything I've done with their products has been hassle free and looks just awesome. Top notch, for sure.

I was iffy on buying these. I'm generally pretty cheap with the rgb I have in my setup going for the lower 15-20 dollar options. I got a notification that the 6 pack for these was on sale and bit the bullet. These are so sick. Obviously from other customer reviews and pictures you can see that the lights are cool, but they absolutely nailed all of the other little things as well. The unboxing experience is insane. The box is a nesting doll style shell where you peel back layers of texture to get to the middle. The lights themselves are gorgeous with an integrated magnetic snap on system for the diffusers. Obviously you can tailor and customize the lights to be whatever color you like, but the box includes a custom qr coded card to unlock evangelion themes that are 10/10 directly out of the box. I can not recommend these enough.

These lights are sick. Worth it. Very bright. So many possibilities with the Govee app. The evangelion scenes you can unlock are amazing. Super easy install. Plug and play.

These are the coolest products that I have bought from Govee. The quality is insane, The colors are rich and bright. No regrets here.

Lights are real cool. I ordered two of them. The colors of light are vivid, bright, and are attractive to the eyes. I occasionally have a problem with one not turning on like it's supposed to. Other than that they are light in weight. The putting together of them was a little hard. Had small hard to handle pieces to put together. Overall great product

I got these on a really nice Black Friday Sale. For the price: $97 for the 6+2 kit, I think it’s a really good deal. I own a lot of Govee lights, and they really add to the environment well. The Govee ecosystem of products work seamlessly together. I will say that these gaming lights are certainly brighter than the ultra panels. They’re probably the brightest Govee light I have. The setup was super easy, although not as easy as the panels. The first time I put them up I didn’t start with the one bar connected to Power, and at the and realized I had to start over.. so don’t do that. The first light bar going up should always be connected to the power source. Additionally, the layout options are super limited compared to the panels or Y lights. It’s something to note if you have limited space. Overall an amazing addition to a room, or an existing Govee ecosystem.

These lights are distinctive, fun, and beautiful. I wanted something that would provide some fun mood lighting to my gaming/office setup. I waited for these to go on sale and now wish I'd bought another set. These are super easy to setup. I chose not to use the supplied adhesive strips and went with some 3M velcro strips. Fortunately the 3M strips attached to the velcro already on the back of the light bars. I do wish there was at least one more connector included. Either a square or triangle would have been nice. I do like that you can set these up in many different configurations so it's customizable to fit your space. I have other Govee products and using the app is really easy. I use a Stream Deck to control the lights with a Govee plugin which is really convenient. Wait for a sale and pick up two!!

These lights are so awesome! I was skeptical at first if the purple Evangelion theme would suit my gaming room, but after putting these lights up, I think they add a nice touch to the room even when they're off. When they're on, they're just indescribably cool. I love that the lights inlayed into the bar and the middle can be different colour's, and the light designs pre-loaded as well as the options to find or create your own design is so expansive! It's a very unique product that adds so much to the room and I often find myself just starting at these lights. Even the unboxing experience of this product was premium and unique, you can tell govee really cared about this product, it was better experience than unboxing any collectors editions games I've bought. I had a slight issue with one of the connector pieces burning out and not working within a month but govee customer service was on point. They sent me a replacement set of lights within a couple of days and it was back to normal! These lights are so worth it! 5/5 product and 6/5 customer service/support!

They look great and the app is easy to use, you can control brightness levels, change settings and turn them off and on all through the app, they also have a control on the cord aswell. If you like Evangelion or the cyberpunk aesthetic they are definitely worth it, also the box they came in was awesome.

I would say these are the most dynamic of the many Govee lights I own. However when in music dreamview mode they aren’t which is disappointing. Other lights strips allow the light to travel through with the music however these just flash on with no flow at all. In all other modes they are very cool, but I really feel like they should upgrade the software for music dreamview mode. I’ll also mention the shapes you can make are very limited. Also, they sit very tight to the wall making it VERY difficult to remove them without the 3m tape damaging the wall. So I suggest laying out your pattern before mounting and make sure all your male/female ends line up - this can be tricky.
