Ultra on Ultra
I know that I just got this thing today, and therefore will update as days etc goes by. I got this watch to pretty much match it up with my Galaxy S24 Ultra and of course for its accuracy as well as having the popular AI feature on my wrist as it is on my phone. This watch does have a ton of features as others have pointed out. One thing I want to touch bases on, all this talk about the battery not being all that great. Just like your phone, when you first get it, it's pretty much trying to learn your patterns of using the device and therefore setting the battery up based on these things. Another thing to note here is the updates.... You are going to see your battery looking lower than what you would want from it, this is all normal. Besides, it's basically looking out for the battery to ensure that you will have your device to enjoy much longer than you would had it not did all these things. Coming from the original Galaxy Watch classic and the Galaxy Watch 5 pro LTE, I can honestly say for myself that this one here is an upgrade. The health apps on this watch most definitely work better. The hard fall detection alone makes this watch a must have the way so many are getting sick this day and age. I see my purchase as a step in the right direction and a definite step towards the future. Love the digital bezel in knowing that I don't have to be worried that someday it could break, or start having a lot of problems. Like watch 5 pro, I wish this thing was bigger, as I am into the bigger watches, but even that is a step in the right direction. At least it's a little bigger than my 5 pro. Love live weather on this thing as well as the heart rate monitor. The display is also awesome. Love how easy it is to exchange bands on this watch, simply by pressing a button on each end of the watch. One thing I would love to see on this watch, and that's the Alexa app (hopefully Amazon is listening 😊). I guess they were listening before I even realized that they were, I feel like Michael Knight from Knight Rider now with the Alexa app being available for this device. Thanks a million for this Amazon. Being able to control my smart home devices from my wrist is super cool. I believe everyone is going to want this watch now that you can actually add the Alexa app on it. The sound is even awesome on this thing. Being as though it is a watch, I didn't expect too much from it sound wise, but it sounds very nice, Alexa is crystal clear with plenty of volume. I guess I'm not seeing in this device what others are seeing wrong with it, The only thing I do see missing (still) is the blood pressure monitor being activated in this device. I hear people say that no two devices are going to be wrong, with this said I guess the weather feature on this watch is spot on, because it's on point with my Echo Show devices as well as AccuWeather. "Update" 1-28-2025, After Samsung latest update to this device, the battery is indeed lasting much longer which is a huge plus. For anyone wanting to set Alexa to be used via the home button (after downloading and installing it), Download it through the play store on your watch. You will also need to download and install Google Assistant as well for this to work. Once both are installed, go to settings on your watch, followed by Apps and then "choose default apps", here you will select Amazon Alexa as your default digital assistant. Next you want to go to "Buttons and gestures", followed by press and hold and select Google Assistant instead of Bixby. Now you are able to use the home button for Alexa as you would have with Bixby. Just about a two second hold of the home button, and Alexa is activated with ease. Just remember to release the home button (Black and orange button at top of watch) once you see the blue Alexa activated ring and began your commands. Hope this helps you as it has me.

Smart watch first, health tracker second
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra is a premium smartwatch that truly shines, especially for those that want a full featured smart watch. Before this watch I purchased a Garmin Vivo and a Venu. They were both fine watches but they aren't truly smart watches, they are health trackers with some smart features. This watch is a smart watch first with health tracking as well, just not as good as the Garmins.PROSDurable and Stylish Design: The titanium build feels incredibly robust and ready to handle tough conditions, while still looking sleek and modern. The bright, crisp display is easy to read in any lighting.Smooth Performance: The watch is snappy and responsive, making navigation and app usage a breeze.Long-Lasting Battery: The battery life is a significant improvement over an iPhone watch for example. I found some tutorials online about optimizing the battery and I'm getting about 3.5 days on average.Useful Features: You can program some of the button to quick launch apps. I personally like to do this for the google assistant to set timers, reminders, or to get quick info about something.CONSBulky: The watch is on the large side compared to a Garmin VivoSport for example.Lacking Health: The watch has something to be desired on the health tracking side. I ended up buying the Hevy app for my workouts. If your primary focus is for health, I would look at Garmins.

Finally, I Smart Watch That Doesn't Need Daily Charging..
Had this watch for a few months now. And FINALLY there is a watch that doesn't just feel like its dead all the time. I charge this watch maybe once or twice a week depending on how much I use the functions on it. But the battery life is way better than any previous gen Samsung watch by ALOT. Ive had a handful of Galaxy watches since the first Watch 2. And the biggest issue with smart watches was always just daily charging and feeling like it was just a worse cell phone you were attaching to yourself that was always dead when you wanted to use it. Now, it actually feels like a watch and even when using all the heart rate tracking features (which are super good btw), phone calls, all that. Battery will last about 3-4 days. Other than that, it does what most smart watches do. Great Watch.

I've changed my mind. I'm into smart watches!
Amazing. This combined with the myfitnesspal app has kept me on track for well over a month now and I'm seeing results and getting back into fitness. I was also "against" smart watches but it's grown on me quite a bit. The only thing I'm not a fan of is the wristband as it leaves imprints on me but I can swap it out. Love it!

Swimming with the Samsung Ultra Watch
It is not practicable for me to do a comprehensive review on the Samsung Watch Ultra here as there are so many functionalities on this gadget.I will just share my experience of swimming with it. It is one of the primary reasons why I bought the watch in the first place. What I like:After setting up the watch, I just need to press the multi-function button once to bring up the exercise screen. Scroll to the Pool Swim icon. Click on it and that is all to it.The display is very clear and informative. I do not look at it all the time, but I do like to take a quick peek at the time taken after every 100 meters to see how I fared. What I dislike:The watch monitors my heart rate, lap time, rest time between each lap, among other things. While the data does give an overall picture of my exercise, they are not entirely accurate. In particular, the heart rate data often does not agree with what I did. When I swam at the aerobic heart rate, the watch would end up showing my heart rate falling largely in the anaerobic zone, and vice versa.
