J.S. Bach: Sacred Cantatas

Great CD! I purchased it to learn to sing a piece from BWV 91 for a concert. I enjoyed the quality of the vocalists and their interpretation of Bach's works. The vocalists (for the duet part) seemed true to the music and it was very helpful in learning the part!

This wonderful music deserves to be far better known than it is. Every bit as good as the bach 'pops' and often better. To be able to get them at this price, performed with such eclat, is wonderful. The order was accomplished in a remarkably short time . What would we do without Amazon!

I chose this for my birthday and have listened to it over and over. It was an excellent choice for me and I found the overall production superb, sounds great. I would definitely recommend this.

Very good value set. Performances of the older type but not at all stodgy and a well chosen selection. A great introduction to some masterpieces Bach wrote in haste and may well have expected to be lost in time.

HIPの代表的なガーディナー、鈴木の全集、コープマンの数十枚持っているので、このやや古い録音のモダン楽器による演奏に興味なかったが、安かったので、試しに買ってみました。一枚目のマニフィカトはあまり気に入らなかったが、カンタータの演奏は予想以上に良かったです。テンポはほどよく、オーケストラも、トーマス教会聖歌隊も、ソロイストも（特にオジェーとシュライアー）素晴らしい。HIP派の僕でも、感動しました。内容に関しては、簡単に言うとバッハのベストカンタータ集と考えたら良いかもしれません。どのカンタータも素敵ですので、カンタータ初心者の方にお勧めです。^^
