We use eco 5 every day (1 load per day). this carbon pallet only last 1-2 weeks capturing the oder and 3rd week start to have some sour smell and 4th week you will need to get a new pack due to the strong smell. not sure if this is how it is since we use the machine every day and almost fully loaded every time. But My memory on using the 1st carbon pallet that comes with the eco5 were last for one and half month before i felt i need to get a new pack to change it out. and now the food cycler offical website have sales on 4 pack for $67 , which each pack cost for $16.87 seems a better choic then this one

I purchased this product after my carbon pellets needed replaced. The pellets that came with my Eco 5 Foodcycler lasted me almost 5 months. Within 3 weeks of placing these in my machine I was noticing a smell (vinegar smell, same as when I knew the original pellets needed replaced). I do not recommend these to use in your Foodcycler. I contacted Foodcycler and they said that these were a generic brand and they recommended I buy the ones sold on their website.

"Holy cow! I never thought I could never live without this product, but I can't!" would be a ridiculous thing to say about this, but don't let that discredit this. I ordered and received 1.6 lbs of loose activated charcoal, which I use for my Lomi rapid food composter. Packed in two bags, it was just as expected. Pelletized activated charcoal, of course with a fair amount of carbon dust, but it has kept foul odors at bay so seems to be doing its job.
