A straight forward well organized book
I picked up this book on the recommendation of a native Farsi speaker and I was not disappointed. The clear bold text makes letter recognition clear and serves as an excellent source for beginning speakers to sound out words. The placement of the anglicized phonetic spelling underneath allows English speakers to feel confident they are saying the words correctly. You'd think you wouldn't get much with only 1000 words but I was amazed (for example) by the variety of relationships listed. While it is true compound verbs aren't well represented in the 1000 words, plenty else is for beginners. This is a great hardcopy resource for the beginning speaker.

Worth the wait!
I've been searching Amazon for almost a decade, trying to find a Persian verb book. They make them in every language except Persian. So grateful to finally have a book!A wonderful thing about this particular book is that it is not only written in Persian but also the Persian is spelled phonetically in English for those who either don't read in Persian or are just learning. That's not easy to find.Lastly, I really like that it doesn't just have the present and past tense but 11 different forms for each verb. Although a fluent speaker, I still get stuck conjugating certain verbs in certain contexts and I'm so glad to have a resource to help me.I like this book so much, I found the website of the publisher, Bahar Books, and I look forward to ordering more from this company. We have a Persian language preschool (Persian Preschool) and I noticed they have a preschool book series so I will have to check those out too!

Just one thing wrong...
This is a very useful book, since there is no other book like it for sale. The format is very simple: 100 verbs are conjugated in practically every possible way. It also includes explanations of how and when the different forms are used. The layout is clear and well-organized, and it is very easy to use.My one complaint is that the verb selection could have been better. Persian verb conjugations are very irregular in the present tense, so a wider variety of verbs would have been useful. 34 of the 100 verbs in the book are "kardan" verbs, which all conjugate the exact same way. Since the book only includes 100 verbs, only one "kardan" verb should have been fully conjugated, and that would have made room for more non-uniform verbs.Despite that one flaw, it is very useful and I highly recommend this book.

At least 68 verbs from this great resource will appear on Rosetta Stone Units 1-12.
This book was a life-saver while taking Rosetta Stone, and now that I've finished it appears that I've learned at least 68 of the verbs in this book. There just aren't that many resources out there for Farsi-learners. The font in this book is HUGE, and the conjugations all appear to be correct. This book is invaluable, and I am very thankful that Nazanin Mirsadeghi has brought this into the world.

100 Irregular Persian Verbs is Long Overdue
As a student of Persian I am thrilled to finally have a book dedicated to conjugated verbs. This does for Persian students what 501 Verbs in French, Spanish and many other languages does for their students.
