As expected

Probiotics work most effectively when combined with prebiotics for them to feast on, and this formula combines both to good effect. Features an impressive 20 probiotic strains. I don’t know why, but I do find the fact that the capsules are gold slightly disconcerting. Feels a bit gimmicky to me.

There are 20 different strains of probiotic in each capsule - as well as fibre, fruits, vegetables, and digestive enzymes, which is all great news for the dogestive system and if like me you need a little support in this area these are fantastic news. Well worth trying.

This supplement arrived in one 120 capsule bottle. The supplement comes in a fancy gold coloured capsule form with the capsule being approximately 20mm long and not too fat, so they're not difficult to swallow. Best taken with the main meal(s) of the day to maximise benefit. I took mine with breakfast and dinner, one per meal, thus satisfying the recommended 2 capsules per day serving. I’ve seen plenty of combination Prebiotic (fibre etc) + Probiotic (bacteria strains) supplements, but I’ve not seen too many that also include a third, key digestion aid in the form of Digestive enzymes. Such an inclusion makes this supplement one of the most comprehensive I’ve seen for gut health. Increasingly, we hear about the importance of the ‘Gut Biome’ in maintaining our health and immune system strength. To this end, I eat natural yogurt and sauerkraut, as well as drinking kombucha. These are all good sources of so called ‘Good Bacteria’ which are crucial for gut health, but I always wonder if there’s sufficient variety of good bacteria in my diet, so I was pleased to see this product with its good spread of varieties. There are 20 different ones. I especially like that there are 5 Bifido strains. The included enzymes cover the main food groups of Proteins (Bromelain, Papain), Carbohydrates(Amylase, Glucoamylase) and Fats (Lipase) as well as ‘cellulose’ – I think that’s a typo and they mean Cellulase, for breaking down cellulose. I've been taking them for the full two months that the 120 Capsule bottle allowed for, and I've not experienced any ill effects. In fact, I do believe my energy levels have increased. It’s always reassuring to see that the product has been manufactured in the UK according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards. The large capsules have promising ingredients in theory but there is little (to no) scientific evidence that pre and probiotics work in pill form. As annoying as it sounds, the right diet will bring the best results. I observed no adverse side effects but no significant benefits yet, however, I’m using them in addition to a varied diet. It probably won’t do any damage.
