Binder 400 Universal Brake Pad Pair

We bought our grandson a used bike for $30. It's pretty nice, but needed a little bit of work including new brake pads. We bought these through Amazon and they arrived on time, and installed very easily. One thing I liked is that the photo was very accurate. I looked at the photo and I could see it was the same kind of connection where it screws on and I was pretty confident I had ordered the right replacement. Also, the photo is enough of a close up that you can easily inspect the product. After installing the brake pads, my husband adjusted the spokes a bit and we didn't even need to replace the tires, so my grandson has a working bike to get himself around town after his bike was stolen at school.

These are too big to fit on my daughter's 20" caliper brake bike. Otherwise they seem like nice quality.

I installed these brakes and they fit perfectly. They pack a lot of different washers so you could adjust the fitting to your bike. I've been using them for over a week and so far they're working great as brakes and don't seem to wear out quickly.

Not quite "universal". A little too big for my 8 year old's 20" bike. I had to sand them down a little to get them to fit.

They're cheap. They fit. They work. What's not to like?

The quality is good but seemed like this would be able to fit my son’s bike and it didn’t at all. I specifically typed in brake pads for kids bikes and this was the first thing that came up. I guess it’s partly my fault for not researching more, but it’s also frustrating that these should be for a wide range of bikes and it doesn’t even come close to fitting my sons 18” bicycle. 4 stars for quality, -1 star for not disclosing the types and sizes of bikes it’ll fit exactly. Why did it pop up for my search if it wasn’t going to be for what I needed? Maybe an Amazon issue?

I like this product very much. I used this product for my beach cruiser bicycle. Excellent!

I bought these in the hopes that my old, pretty rusted bike could ride again without waking up the entire neighborhood thanks to squeaky brakes. These were very easy to install, and they've worked great! I bike pretty infrequently, so it was great to have these and avoid needing to buy an entirely new bike or risk violating noise ordinances in my town.
