It does what it says.
It definitely met my expectations. It makes the weight of my alto sax feel like it's not even there. Keeps my sax at the right height where all I need it is to raise it to my mouth and play.

I tried EVERYTHING else. Only this worked.
Best Strap Ever! I play Bari Sax in my school's marching band. I've tried every other saxophone strap there is, and none of them worked. I tried the alto/tenor Neotech neck strap, and my back and neck were sore every single day after practice. I tried other alto/tenor neck straps, and the same thing happened. I tried two other bari sax harness's and even the alto/tenor Neotech neck strap worked better. I tried taking the better one of those harness's and added two inches of really comfortable padding. No success; it still hurt. Then I got this one. I was at first hesitant because of its cost, but I decided to do it since nothing else had worked. My Bari was at school so I tried it on my alto, and it felt like nothing was there. It carried all the weight; immediately I knew this was a great purchase. When I tried it with my Bari during practice it didn't hurt at all. That day after practice was the first day in months that I didn't go home with a sore back and neck. The problem with the other harness's is that the weight pulls on your neck and your shoulders. 15 pounds is just too much to be weighing on your neck. This Neotech harness puts all of the weight on your shoulders which makes it very comfortable. Some people's reviews say that it is cheaply made, but that is probably just a defect in the one they bought. It is very sturdy. The clip works great. It met all my expectations. I would recommend this to anyone, and I have many times.Pros:Very comfortableSturdy clipPuts the weight on your shoulders not neckEasily adjustableEasy to put on and take offCons:None :)

Fairly Good support; limited motion; awkward clasp for doublers
So far, the harness supports my tenor sax way better than a standard neck-strap, however I still experience some fatigue and discomfort in my shoulders after an hour or so. Plus, I find a very LIMITED range of motion with the harness, keeping the sax centered, not allowing much playing to the side. HARD to move it out forward as well. If I needed it higher, it can adjust for that, but not lower. Luckily, it’s at a good height for a larger person. A shorter person could adjust it, and might find it low enough if they like that. Also, as someone who doubles a lot, I find the clasp VERY hard to grasp and open. Too much of the harness is in the way, and there’s little room between the harness and sax. Basically, NO WHERE to put your hand, since you can’t move it away from your body like a normal neck-strap. Switching horns quickly is not possible yet for me.The PRICE is good, as well as the DURABILITY. Good solid construction and strength.Getting it on takes a minute, but consists of disconnecting each side, throwing it over the respective shoulder, and re-connecting it at the bottom, near the center. Not hard, but not easy. Perhaps a smaller person could just take each shoulder loop off.PROS: good support, sturdy, moderate price, good value, clasp is STRONGCONS: limited motion, slow disconnect/connections, still some fatigue after a while on shoulders.

Junior model fits kids best - regardless of measurements listed.
We measured the distance of our 11 year old son from mid-shoulder to the hook of his Baritone Saxophone, which fell just in the shortest range of the X-Long model. So, we bought the X-Long model figuring it would just work and give him growing room. However, when it arrived, it couldn't be shortened enough to get the mouthpiece of the instrument where he needed it. The problem is that with a smaller body (and a VERY HEAVY instrument), the weight of the instrument pulls the shoulder pads forward - which then makes the instrument too low.So we ordered the regular version instead which should have easily fit based on the measurements. However we had the same problem - we couldn't shorten it enough and had to return it for the Junior version - which we managed to get to fit when the neck strap is cinched all the way up.I compared the Junior and Regular versions and the main difference is the straps that go around the side of the body are shorter for the Junior model than the regular version. The front strap is also about 1" shorter. The shoulder pads & back strap are exactly the same (I was hoping the Jr. model would also be narrower between the shoulders, but it's not).I do like this soft harness - especially for a student where the instrument is almost as big as he is! But it did take some trial and error to get the right size for him.

Love the harness
I have one of these for my bari- has lasted many years. I was having severe neck pain after playing my alto and had a nicely padded strap for it. After playing using the harness, no more neck pain. However, being 5'4" and 120 # it just fits on the shortest setting- will likely end up going to a shoe shop and have it shortened some more. I have a Junior size for my Bari, and it was almost too small until the weight of the horn stretched it out enough (I had maxed out shortening the regular size strap. There needs to be one more size in between Regular and Jr to accommodate us girls.

Not great...for me.
My second of these Sax harnesses. Straps are thin, clips don't easily release or engage. Regular seems long for my tenor. Loop silly but at least it won't scratch anything. I should have got the swivel latch. It might be great for some, and I may use it from time to time. Somebody must make a good harness. I'll keep looking.

Good buy for dodgy backs
Quite comfortable. Seems to do the job avoiding strain on my upper back/shoulders with my tenor sax. The catch for the sax hook is a little stiff, so can be awkward to attach a heavy instrument, but I guess this makes it more secure.
