Capri ToolsMaster Bit Socket Set, Advanced Series, 88-Piece (30500-88MS)

I own/owned several different brands of tools, and have recently been purchasing a lot of Capri tools to replace tools in my collection. I started by buying a set of standard sockets, and was quite impressed, so I bought another, and now I've also bought this set of bit sockets. I am a tool snob, and I am very picky about quality, fit, finish, etc., and Capri has been really impressing me. By far the nicest tools for the money. When it comes to bit sockets, many manufacturers just don't produce satisfactory products (misshapen bits, poor chrome, bits not aligned straight with socket...). Capri nails it with the constant-sized bits, the bits being aligned straight with the socket, beautiful, thorough chrome, a great case, upgraded material used for the larger bits, and overall EXCELLENT machining of the tools.My only criticism with this set is that the torx bits are not security-style bits. It seems like it would be easy enough to have put security bits in the set instead of the regular; I don't want to have to buy an additional set just to get security torx bits, when this "master" set should have them, especially since the security bits do the same job as the regular torx, plus some.I trust these Taiwan-made Capri tools more than I trust anything made in China. I really don't think you can beat Capri tools for anywhere close to the same cost.Keep up the great work Capri, and if you need a brand ambassador, here I am!

I use this bit set almost daily at my job and so far it’s been great. I recommend this for any mechanics or hobbyists needing torx and hex bits

Definitely a “professional” quality set. Well built, and perfect selection of sizes. Set comes lightly oiled to prevent moisture and rust. Simple wipe with a rag, and good to go. Only minimal use so far, but very pleased. The case is heavy duty, with clasps on 3 sides. Seems to keep everything in its place, and should handle many years of use, even though it’s plastic.

Quality and style is great. Great set to buy just wish case was made better.

Pretty extensive kit. Fit and finish looks pretty decent. Arrived brand new, still wrapped. My biggest problem is that my T20 long torx bit had the wrong company name on the socket (Ombra) and it was labeled as a “PZ1” pozidrive bit. Guessing the same warehouse in Taiwan produces the Ombra brand as well. Little disappointed considering how much I paid for this set. Trying to decide if I’m just going to keep it or send it all back.In the pictures the Capri is on the top and the Ombra on the bottom. Can’t comment on how these hold up because they haven’t been used yet.Edit: originally a 1 star. Changed to 4 stars.I contacted Capri and after they made me confirm I was the original purchaser, the sent me a new, correct bit. I decided to keep them and I’ve used these quite a bit. I can say they are of good quality and customer service was very helpful. Got the new bit out to me in a few days.

Update February 2024, still feel the same way. Great set!I’ve owned this set for around 3 months now. I’m a field mechanic and this set is by far on par with or better than Snap-On or Matco tools for half the cost. A coworker has the Bluepoint equivalent of this set which cost him around $380 and the Capri set has a more durable case, nicer latches, and more sockets. The best thing about the case is it actually holds all the sockets in place. I drive over a 1000 miles a week and never once have I opened the set to have sockets rain down. The etching in the sockets is also extremely nice. Never heard of the tools before this and took a shot in the dark with them. Very satisfied3 years later and it's amazing. Case and sockets all outperform coworkers snapon stuff

Good assortment for the price, great quality - have broken none yetMissing security bits, for the size of the kit they should be included. I would sub out all of the standard torx bits to have the security versions instead
