Great tool
I needed a drill to cut through a 14” wall to instal a 32mm waste pipe. As you can see from the photo, it cut a perfect hole. I did dip the drill in water every now again to help but it took no time to go through the wall. I like that I could use both my SDS and conventional drill with it. There were no instructions to explain how the pilot hole drill is secured and removed but I worked out that it goes in by twisting and is removed using the small metal wedge provided to knock it back out.

Mediocre Performance and Durability Issues
The media could not be loaded. I purchased this Diamond Core Drill Bit Set, expecting a robust and reliable solution for drilling into concrete and masonry, but my experience has been underwhelming. While the set comes with useful accessories like the SDS adapter, hex shank adapter, and centre drill bit, the overall performance of the core drill bit itself is disappointing. The 52mm bit struggled with harder materials like granite and high-density concrete, overheating quickly and losing efficiency after just a few uses. The turbo laser-welded segments are not as durable as advertised, showing significant wear after minimal use.The included adapters are a convenient addition, but the fit isn’t as secure as I’d hoped. There’s noticeable wobbling when attached to my drill, which compromises precision and makes the drilling process feel unstable. On the plus side, it worked reasonably well on softer materials like brick and lightweight blocks, but for tougher jobs, it simply doesn’t hold up.If you're planning to work on demanding tasks with harder materials, I’d recommend investing in a higher-quality core drill bit. This set may be suitable for light DIY work but falls short for professional or heavy-duty use.

Does the job, could be better.
The diamond tips cit quickly through brick and breeze block, no question about that. Needs a powerful hammer drill. Only downside is that the pilot drill bit needs to be about 2-3 inches longer! That would help keep the hole on track without wandering, the bit supplied allowed some wobble of the diamond hole borer, as it only protrudes about a half to one inch beyond the boring tips.

Brilliant, sharp and complete
Bought a more expensive version at Wickes that only had the bit, none of the attachments, so I couldn't use it without buying the extras from Wickes. This came and job done, cuts beautiful and quick

Teeth fell off on first use
I had one hole to cut for a waste pipe through brick and breeze block. I started the hole from the outside brick layer so as not to damage the brick face. I started to cut the hole, there was a clunking noise and the drill felt different so I stopped. The three cutting teeth of the core drill had dropped off. I was less than a centimetre into the cut. I'm returning as its unusable.

good core drill
I ordered the 42mm drill to run a 40mm kitchen waste through a wall. The core drill comes with 2 lengths of arbor a short one for standard chucks and and a slightly longer one (35mm) for SDS drills. These were packed inside the core and had pretty solidly wedged them selves in. It took me a while to find something to force out the arbors - a 130mm coach bolt struck with a hammer eventually got them out. Fortunately there was no damage to the core.In use the core works very well, I have used plenty of different cores in the past and in reality unless you are going through anything but the hardest engineering bricks, there isnt a lot of difference between performance (its more of a case of how quickly the diamond abrasive wears down affecting how many cuts they can make). This core is no exception, it cuts well and is very robust. It has 3 'teeth' but they cover a greater amount of the circumference than the ones that have 4 'teeth; I'd say that at least 2/3 of the circumference is diamond. The pilot drill is perhaps a little thick at 10mm, as I remove it once the hole is established: I think 8mm would have been a bit better. Unlike other cores I've used the pilot drill is a friction fit but is easy enough to remove using thh supplied chip ejector. This is a good core cutter, its probably suitable for professional use at this price point.
