A have 3 cats, they're not hunters but I'm still concerned about getting a hamster, would this cage be considered cat proof at all?

I don't think this cage would be considered cat proof, cats are smart and if the hamster is in the top part, the cat would easily push the latch and get access to the top part. If you do decide to get on of these cages just make sure you the hamster you get is a dwarf hamster, these cages are perfact for them. There not suitable for any other hamsters as the get alot bigger then the dwars and won't fit up the tube etc...

What is the colour of this cage.. it says white... but shows purple and green?

I think it might be the wire bit of the cage which is white. I have two crittertrail cages and the lower plastic trays/lids are multi coloured so it's probably those parts that are purple and green.

Is the cage suitable for a Syrian Hamster

To anyone lese who has this question, in no way put a syrian hamster in one of these. Hamsters are running animals and need atleast 450 square inches of floor space. Clittertrail is evil.

is this suitable for gerbils

not at all. its not even suitable for the smallest hamsters. it is tiny! gerbils will need a tank or gerbilarium as they love to dig and make tunnels. or at the very least a big cage with a very deep base. try and get an absolute minimum of a 70X40cm floor space. have a look on zooplus website. they have great cages at great prices :)
