Everything was there, nothing missing, and nothing was broken. I actually think there were some extra tube couplers based on the picture in the product description. I have not used these yet but tested a few pieces to make sure they worked as described; they do. The tube couplers are pretty tight going on the tubes, so I am sure they will secure the tubes very well. I like the fact that you can make your own length, and design based on your plants needs but i do agree with another reviewer who stated that more connecting hardware should have been included considering there are 70, 16" tubes in this set. I can buy those separately here on Amazon if needed however. These seem to be very well made and sturdy. For $31, it is actually a nice set. If I have any issues with durability, I will update my review. Update: I used some of these today. I made simple single pole supports using 5 stakes with connectors to stake up some high tomato plant branches with tomatoes on them. They assembled nice and tight in the connectors with no funny angles or bends. They seem to be very sturdy and are holding these branches with tomatoes on them without bowing or bending. I made 4 of these (20 stakes and 16 connectors) in total. I still have 24 connectors left for 50 stakes. It actually seems about right with the hardware, but I ordered a set of spare connectors just in case. I am changing my review to 5 stars.

Put some of these together with my son to support our tomatoes and onions. We had so much fun - like playing with an Erectorset - that I ordered a second set so we could do the rest of the raised planters (and spend more quality time together). Only negative is the difficulty in separating them once they are connected together, but I'd rather have it too sturdy than too loose and flimsy.

Very useful stakes that can be customized in length by connecting them with provided tubes. Good quality, and work very well with soft to medium soil. The problem is that there are relatively few of the connector tubes provided, which makes a large percentage of the stakes useless, unless you are using them for very short plants and don't need connectors frequently. Having more connectors, or making these in 24" rather than 16" length would increase their usability.

I’ve used these type of staking kits for tomatoes and passionflower vines and love them. But indoors I have a “problem child” in a bird of paradise plant I purchased last summer. I had no idea how fast or large they grow and it quickly has taken over my dining room. What started as a small plant in the corner has quickly grown and spread to over 7 feet wide. With each new leaf growing in at over 2 feet in length and stems pushing in 4 feet or more I need something to support ever heavier growth. These stakes are super sturdy, easily assembled to whatever length is needed (within 16” increments) and the color blends in nicely with the foliage. They have been great stakes to support growth upward instead of outward. With the swivel connectors that are included you can customize the system to create grids or cages to support all kinds of indoor and outdoor plants. Highly recommended!

I got these because I needed stakes but needed a variety of sizes. The connectors mean I can get exactly that. I also wanted something that would last more than one planting season. Best of all, this type of stake can be used with a lot of similar products on Amazon because they’re all basically the same thing. Same size, shape, and material. I’ve mixed and matched parts from different sets to make stakes, cages, teepees, and trellises. When you add it to similar products, it’s like a Lego set for gardeners. They hold up well and clean up with a spray of water. They’re strong enough for a variety of plants. The more you add around the plant, the more support they get. They stay straight without bending. They’re easy to assemble or take apart and store. I think they’ll last a long time. It was money well spent.

They are sturdy and there are a lot of posts. Once they are together, they seem to stay together. But, I did run out of connectors. I couldn't quite do what I wanted to because of that. Wish there was enough connectors for the amount of posts they provide. But, I am using them to steak some of my tomato plants and so far they are holding up. They also take some force to get together.
