Yaktrax Pro Traction cleats have prevented me falling on icy sidewalks each winter here in Vermont. If you are over 65 and wish to stay in shape but are scared of slipping on the ice in winter, this is the product that you need to stay in excellent shape and keep on walking through the days of snow and ice. They pull off shoes and boots with ease and are easy to put on whatever you own. I have tried other brands and spikes and actually slipped and fallen and I did not think these would work but they do. Their grip is the best and they last years so they are well worth the price.

They stay in place very well on my boots. Take the time to put them on right, abd they will definitely increase your traction on snow and ice.

After the last icy snow storm I decided to order these and give them a go. I got a chance to test them out today. I got the Small version as I have a guys size 7 foot. They fit over my boots perfectly. Installing them was not really difficult and they stay in place well when you are walking around. These made it a lot easier to shovel my driveway because I wasn't slipping around like I did with the same boots in the last snow storm. I really like them, the quality seems good I think they will hold up well. I recommend them if you live where it gets icy, these will dig in.

I work on ambulance in Northern Ohio. Wear these on my work boots when I'm out on the job. Due to severe winter weather this year, there has been major ice on the roads, sidewalks, driveways, and other places that we have to move patients across. These have not failed in keeping me stable when lifting and moving. Quite a few of our EMS providers are wearing these. They have not damaged anyones floors when inside homes or facilities. The only thing we have to watch out for is certain surfaces that we go on, (concreate, stone florring, etc.) do make the metal slick and they will slide if you are not watching for this.

I bought these because my neighborhood has been getting ice on top of snow making walking around really difficult, even scary. Putting these on my boots made a huge difference.They're quite easy to attach -- you stretch them over the boot then secure them with a velcro strap. Removal is just as quick and easy. It's OK to wear these on dry surfaces (such as a concrete garage floor) though of course you wouldn't want to wear them on indoor surfaces.I got the "Extra Large" size which fit my US Size 13 boots quite well.

I just purchased my third pair, over maybe a 20 year period. All have worked well and each successive pair has been improved over the previous ones. They are now heavier and the Pro model has a retention strap which fits over the top of the foot. I can literally walk up and down my icy driveway (which is on an incline). They allow me to walk on glare ice without falling and I can shovel or run the snowblower with confidence. They are well worth the price.

I love the excellent traction I get with these cleats. I am in my 70s, and falls have more consequences than they did earlier in my life. We have a 200' hilly trek to the barn morning and night, and these have made each trip a little less scary.The cleats have rubber connectors holding them in place, and twice I have had to repair broken ones with some stainless steel wire. The repairs are fine, but I shouldn't have to have had to do a repair. I would have replaced them, but I count on them continually. I'll live with it. And stay upright.
