Wow! Didn't think they would be this good at this price point!
We have several dogs. So we sleep with a large fan on in the bedroom both for the comfortability and to keep any noise down, either us waking up dogs, or dogs waking us up. And yes, first world problem, having to get up to turn the fan on and off. So I decided to try a smart plug, and this one had tons of good reviews. And the price was amazing. It came out to be about $5 per plug when I bought the 4-pack with a coupon that was offered. The setup was extremely easy. The app is great. On the app, you can label each plug AND put a photo of the item being controlled by that particular plug. Which I just think is very neat. Once you have it set up on the WiFi, and get the app set up, it's super easy to control everything. Also, you can set up an account on their app, then log into that account on other devices using the app, so you don't have to go through setting everything up. If you add a device, it will sync up between any devices you are logged into with the account. That made it easy, I just set it up, then installed the app on my beautiful girlfriend's phone and logged into it, and everything was ready for her to use. It says 15 amp capacity per plug, which is decent. I'm not sure I would try to test that capability. I think if you are trying to remotely control the power of any heavier-duty electronics, you should get a plug rated for higher than you plan to use. For example, we use ours for our large fan, which is only 3.5 amps, and lamps around the house. Overall, I was surprised at how well these plugs worked. The app is great. Connectivity is great. The price was great. I suppose the only detail that might detract from a more expensive smart plug is that these plugs only support 2.4Ghz WiFi. So if you don't have that running, you would not get the network connectivity. Other than that, this is an incredible product. Very happy with them. They are used every day, multiple times, with no issues whatsoever. Highly recommend these smart plugs.

Buy these. Excellent with Apple HomeKit (Happy dance!)
💙🩶 Love these so far. Had to replace our older Belkin Wemo devices that often fell off the network. Seems like every few months I had to reconnect them. Love Belkin, but disappointed in those. 1. We already have a Meross 2-outlet outdoor smart plug. Works great x 3 years. 2. We have Apple HomeKit 3. With Matter compatibility, each of these took about 2 min to fully set up and name them in HomeKit. Wow. This is the way it should be! They are all working fine in low wall outlets where the Wemos struggled. 6 stars for easy installation to HomeKit! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Easy to set up and use!
These work well for things like plug in Christmas light fixtures. Setup was easy - I had to remember to switch the SSID on my phone to the 2.4GHz network (I have separate 2.4 and 5GHz networks) before doing the matter setup, but once that was complete, the setup completed flawlessly and I'm able to use the plugs in my Apple Home ecosystem. I would expect them to work just as well on the other ecosystems.

Some Bumps During Set Up, But Seems To Be Pretty Solid
This is one of the few Matter items I have now added to my smart home, giving me around a total of 40 different items I use (switches, plugs, lights, garage door, locks, curtain, blinds, etc). Initially I had some issue with getting the smart plug to connect to my Home Kit set up. I could see the plug online, but would not connect to the Apple Home app. I emailed Meross for support and they were quick to respond to my issues. After some trouble shooting myself and from assistance from Meross, I figured out what the issue was. I have both my 5GHz and 2.5GHz Wi-Fi networks set up with the same name. With previous devices I have set up, the device would automatically connect to the 2.5GHz Wi-Fi, but I found that the Meross plug would not. So, I had to go into my router settings and turn off the 5GHz band while setting up the plug. Also, I had to turn off the "Wi-Fi Protected Setup" on my router. (I am using is the Linksys Velop AX4200 WiFi 6 Mesh System.). After getting the plug added to my Apple Home app, I turned my 5GHz band back on. For a few days after the initial setup, the plug would periodically show up and "not responding", but would eventually show back up. After several days to a week, I have not had any issues with the plug "not responding". Overall, the smart plug seems to be a good, compact and solid device. Just had a few issues with the initial setup, but it has been smooth sailing since then. It has been running without issues now for over a month, just like other Meross smart home devices I own. I will keep this inexpensive smart plug device in mind the next time I need to add to my smart home set up.

Ok, lots of connection issues
I bought this on a recommendation from Bay Area Aquatics to use as a timer switch for aquarium lights. At the moment I’m testing them using my bedroom lamp so that it doesn’t kill my plants and cause tons of algae due to imbalanced lighting if it doesn’t work. I do not use it with Alexa, Google Home, etc. I only control them from my iPhone 7. The only good thing I have to say about these plugs is that installation is super easy and fast, and the app is very easy to use. I’ve had them for about a month now and I have nothing but issues. At first, they worked great and even though I’d occasionally get a “no internet” message it would end up connecting after a second of opening the Meross app. After the most recent iOS update, they work even less. I constantly get a “device unreachable” message and cannot figure out the issue. My router/gateway is almost directly below my room downstairs so there shouldn’t be much interference. My smart TV, Xbox, and phone have no WiFi connection issues. My phone only connects to the 2.4 gHz WiFi network. I don’t lose power often and haven’t since I’ve had these plugs installed. The firmware is up to date, the app is up to date, I’ve deleted and re-added the plugs several times within the app, and uninstalled and re-installed the Meross app a couple of times. It seems other people are having similar issues. I’ve tried all 4 plugs and they all give out after a week or two. There’s no support from this company, and any time I go to the Help section in the app I get a “504 bad gateway” error message. Not sure if I just got a bad batch or if all the 5 star reviews were written too soon after installing. I would recommend a different product if you’re searching for a smart plug. Amazon’s is the same price for only one plug, but at least you can get tech support. I’m returning these to see if a new batch will work better, if not I’m getting rid of them and going with an old school timer for my aquarium lights. I wish the company would support their app better, then this product would be perfect.

Best choice on the market for integration!
I am very interested in automating a lot of things in my home, so I researched many brands of smart devices. I did not want to have to install several apps for different manufacturers of smart devices, or be involved with different ecosystems, so I was looking for one brand to rule them all. Meross seems to fit the bill. They make the most smart devices from what I can tell, but more importantly quality devices that are easy to setup. They support all the big automated options: Alexa, Google and IFTTT. These smart plugs are no exception. All it takes is a few clicks in the app to connect to the device and add it to your network, once you've given your Wi-Fi credentials to the app. You give it a name, choose an icon for it and you're done. Once you have multiple devices in the app, you can put them in groups to control them together. Then you can create "scenes" where you can specify the state of any or all of the devices. You can also create schedules for the scenes to automate morning or night routines, or whatever you want. I can tell Google (nest mini) to turn off the living room lamps, or all the lights, and this works flawlessly. The plugs also work with Alexa and IFTTT, which is a custom interface in which you can create rules that connect to other services or apps for further automation. I have used these with the Meross app, google integration and IFTTT, all have worked as expected. They are on the large side, and will block other plugs on a power strip or surge protector if not generously spaced, and depending on how they're oriented. That may just be the industry Norm size though. One thing I wish it had is a 5ghz wifi antenna. I was really trying to weed out 2.4ghz devices from my home, and had almost succeeded. But alas, it is a necessary evil. This also may be a design limitation, due to 5ghz requiring at least one extra antenna that would make the plug even bigger. I have found creative uses for these. My favorite so far is for my reciever. It has a "feature" where it stops responding to it's remote app every once in awhile, with the solution being to disconnect and reconnect the power cable. The manufacturer considers this not an issue. Since the plug is behind a huge entertainment center, it was a real pain to do this every time. Now I can comfortably click it off with a button on my phone, or tell Google to turn the receiver off, and back on again. Which is pretty satisfying. These plugs are also very cost-effective. They cost less per plug than one of those timers you plug into an outlet. This easily replaces that device for less money and has infinitely more capability. Since purchasing these plugs I've had no reliability issues with them, but one time the power went out for a few minutes and came back on. When the power restored, all the plugs continuously turned on and off until I pressed the power button on each to get them to stop, then restored the wifi so they were happy. This was a bit concerning to me as I watched my receiver power on and off about 10 times. Nothing came of it, but that is one issue I hope can be fixed through the app. If I had not been home I'm not sure how long that would have gone on. Since purchasing these I've aqcuired an outdoor rated 2 plug power strip, smart dimmer switch and smart garage door opener. I've been happy with all of them. I'm already planning on getting 3-way smart dimmer switches and more wall plugs. Meross seems like a very future proof choice and so far I'm really happy with my Meross powered home.

Excellent Product, Highly Recommend for any Smart Home Set up, Control, or Energy Usage Monitoring
Honestly — these plugs blew me away. Truly plug‑and‑play, they connected seamlessly to Google Home and HomeKit right out of the box. Compact design, powerful Matter support, and affordable pricing make this 4‑pack a no‑brainer. Best part? The live energy monitoring is insanely accurate — I tracked energy consumption on a fan and server rack down to the watt. Full range Matter support, insanely fast set up, truly "plug and play" (no pun intended but seriously), an actual quality build (not cheap feeling whatsoever), low cost, good aesthetics, complete reliability, and small in size. -The absolute perfect combination for any smart home setup and a complete beast of a device. If you could only have one smart-home product, this should honestly be it. Controling your electronic devices and monitoring there exact energy consumption throughout there lifecycle phases is really the meat and potatoes of what a smart home should be- whether you want to set up complex automations, lower your energy bill and figure out what energy pig is raising your bill by fifty bucks a month (yes if you use these devices correctly one of them could actually pay for the rest very quickly in awareness by helping and more importantly providing consistent, 24/7 data to help you determine how much energy you are consuming with any given electrical device), or simply want to be able to use the responsive toggle feature from any location. WIth these plugs you can really make any antiquated device a smart device, and I am finding myself using them now even on some of my already "smart" devices to moniter energy consumption patterns. Couldn’t be happier — highly recommended for anyone wanting reliable, insanely fast, and energy‑aware smart plugs without breaking the bank.
