Yellow Cake Baking Mix

I wanted to make my guy a better version of cake for his birthday this year. Instead of buying a cake from the grocery store. This mix was amazing ! I added some vanilla extract to it while mixing. It came out super moist like other reviews said. I baked it in a round cake pan for about 34 mins because it was still jiggly in the middle at 24-30 mins. I then decorated it with homemade chocolate frosting too! So yummy ! Would buy again.

For cake mix it’s not bad. It’s very moist. If there is any thing neglect about the cake I would say it did rise like I thought it would. I made it in a 13 x 9 pan not the round cake pans. But the taste is there.

Thus review is for the regular wheat flour Bob’s Yellow Cake mix. What consumers need to know and notice is that these ingredients are SO MUCH better than Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and Duncan Hines - there’s no artificial flavors or colors or preservatives or other junk. Plus there’s no genetically modified ingredients. The taste and texture is terrific and although not organic like Miss Jones’ vanilla cake mix it has better flavor, although you may want to add a teaspoon of vanilla or almond extract to boost the taste. So glad Bob’s Red Mill has some “non” gluten-free options! Yum!

The Best cake mix I have ever tried nothing like the regular big box companies that we are all used to seeing in the store. Could be easily passed off as homemade to most, I bought the yellow cake and used warm milk and melted butter verses water and oil. I whipped up a peanut butter fudge butter cream frosting and it was delightful. Will definitely keep purchasing, I have always been a fan of Bob's Red Mill

Great easy to make flavorful chocolate cake

This is so easy to make yet delicious. It has a rich taste and not overly sweet. Bob’s Red Mill products are high quality and relatively healthy. Yum.

I made cupcakes with it. A toothpick test at the lowest suggested time came out wet, but after leaving them in the oven for 5 more minutes, I found them rather dry and hard to swallow without a liquid handy. I will try again in a 9 by 13" pan at a lower heat and see if they are better. It is very convenient to just throw this mix together and the chocolate taste is fine, but i found it a little sweet for my taste. I may try it with apple sauce instead of oil or try adding an extra egg next time to get a moister result with a better mouth feel.

Mouthwatering!!! This is the most moist and delicious cake just by itself-no icing. My whole family is hooked. Love this cake mix and it doesn’t have all the bad ingredients like store bought brands.
