Perfect!!!
Omg i love this kitchen knives sharpening set, a kitchen knives have never been so clean cutting, not even when they were brand-new. I actually feel safer using sharpened knives and this is perfect. Agreed for every knife. Very easy to use..Definitely recommend to those who are professionals in the kitchen

Yoiu get what you pay for!
Have used the kit to sharpen aroiund 10 knives of all sorts from paring knives through Santoku to carving knives and can happily report that the stones work. The coarse stones have been used to restore a well chipped blade to near perfection. Its important to take your time and be patient, the leather strop works well to remove any fine burrs once the edges are keen. However there are a couple of things to be aware of:1. The angle guide does not give you a consistent angle when switching between knives, the angle is dependant upon the width of your blade, the narrower the blade the steeper the angle (and the less sharp it feels) learn and practice with sharpening a wide bladed knife using the angle guide, then practice without the angle guide on a smaller narrower knife, manually maintaining the same angle. With some practice this will work!2. The whetstones themselves are relatively soft, and after honing 10 or so knives they are showing considerable signs of wear. You can use the flattening stone to remove any low spots, this does however take some time and also wears the whetstones down even further. On the whole this is a reasonable set to hone your knife sharpening skills (pun intended!) but I think for the long term I'll be buying some higher quality stones.

As sharp as a knife!
I was a bit dubious about this since I'd read some bad reviews of products like this. But I'm glad I took the plunge anyway and decided to give it a try. If you actually follow the instructions and take your time with the product you will have some very satisfying results. I originally was using one of those pull through knife sharpeners. At first they seem to work, but then over time they end up destroying the blade as they actually take material away from the blade. I got to the point that my knife was getting blunter and blunter and the pull through sharpener was not cutting it any more (see what I did there?)Soak these in water first, and gradually work from the coarsest grit block up until the finest one. Using the included angle guide actually helps - as you can keep the sharpening action consistent on both sides of the blade for perfect results. I still haven't quite got to grips with the optimum honing action to use with the included leather - but again it's worth taking the time to master it, as removing burrs from the blade between uses helps keep the knife cutting at it's best. The only thing missing from the kit is some plasters - as both my wife and I have since sliced our fingers open using the knife, forgetting how sharp it is - as we'd got so used to cutting with a dull blade. - On the plus side, I was able to do the 'tomato test' and now my test tomato is sliced into 100 slivers. Far too thin for a sandwich - but it was a great challenge none the less!!Now I need to go through my knife drawer and sharpen some of my others!!

Rubber seal doesnt fit. Too big.
Had to cut the rubber so that it would fit in the wooden base. Withoutn cutting it, it doesnt fit in the base. Apart from that it does the job.
