Loaded dice
I wanted to contact the seller but couldn't figure out how to do it. First things first, the dice are absolutely stunning to look at. One of the most beautiful sets I've ever seen. However, the ring wasnt placed in the middle, and it settled on an end closest to the lowest numbers. This caused the dice to roll the highest number (or number surrounding the highest) every single time they were rolled. The description said that these dice were well balanced but they are not. They are loaded.

Seven Dice to Rule Them All...
...and one Ring to bind them.D&D has always owed a big debt to LotR; when it evolved from just being a set of rules for miniature war-gaming into actual role-playing, it took its blueprint from the Prof.'s works. So now, the circle is closed with this set of dice. Yep, that's pretty much the One Ring embedded right there inside each polyhedron.Impressions:Beautiful and rather lavish set of dice. Thick, solid resin plastic with the popular sharp edges. Wispy, deep purple-to-lavender swirls misting through. Large, incised, golden numerals on each die rendered in an "Arabian"-fantasy font (this is a particularly nice touch, I think). and, of course, within each and every die, the Ring of gold, inscribed in script, no missing it. And the ring is complete in each die, sized to fit, from 4d to 20d.Concerns:Balance - in every die, the Ring itself is kind of laying against one side. Probably inserted in each die mold when the plastic was liquid, and naturally it sank toward what was the bottom. How will this slightly added weight affect role outcomes? Will it at all? Pondering this, I gave each die a series of test roles and got typically random results. Seems okay... But I can't help wondering how this set will behave over the long haul... and will other players, or the DM, jump to conclusions about "weighted dice" and object to their use? Time will tell, but something to think about.Still, a very beautiful set, evoking the magic of those early, heady days of gaming when the fantasy seemed so present and real. Even as just display pieces, this dice set will be a very nice addition to your collection.

Love the ring dice
I have a few different sets of the "Maywin" dice. They all come in a very nice metal tin with a foam padding that protects your dice when your not playing, and also makes them very giftable since they essentially come in their own "jewelry box" of sorts that you can wrap up.The specific set I am reviewing now is the "Black ring" ones with the red and clear resin. The pictures provided by the manufacturer are very accurate, but personally I believes these look even cooler in person than in the pictures. The ring DEFINITELY screams Lord of the Rings. These things look so cool I'm debating starting a LOTR campaign just so I can roll them whenever Sauron and his minions are attacking.

Very pretty dice with cool ring effect included.
This is a very nice set of dice. The dice have a nice clean look and feel good in your hand. The dice roll easy and the numbers are easy to read and see. The gold numbering has a nice distinct set off from the purple/clear resin of the dice. The ring that is in cased in each die give a great homage to the one ring from Tolkien’s Middle Earth books. As a fan of them since I was little, it was really neat to see the detail that was put into such a small component. I did not see any evidence of impact on the dice due to the inclusion of the ring. The case that the dice come in is very nice as well. The case makes for taking your dice to our next game night easy and arriving in style.Pros: Nice color and feel to the diceInclusion of the One Ring gives nice homage to LotRVery nice and sleek case with foam insertCons: Nothing to report

The d10s are incorrectly numbered
If you have any degree of OCD, I must sadly say avoid these dice. If you have a moderate knowledge about fair dice or just have high pattern recognition, you will probably know that opposite dice faces are supposed to all add to the same number, n+1 where n is the number of sides on the die. Unfortunately I almost immediately noticed that the sides of the d10s are not correctly ordered. Will this affect how the dice roll? No. Will this have a significant impact on their fairness? No. Will I ever be able to unsee this? Also no. I bought the Blue-white-red Copper Foil, but since this is a mold issue, I would assume all of the listed dice have this issue. -1 star for this.As for he aesthetics of the dice themselves, the numbers are done cleanly, I found no other defects in the dice, and I think the colors do overall go well together. I wish my dice had been a bit better mixed like some of the other pictures I have seen and my d12 had almost no clear/foil parts. I would rate my specific dice a 3/5 on looks. The dice corners are sharp, but not stabby, so that is nice. The weight and size are as expected.
