Helps the beginner to sharpen knives

Good if you need a edge and don't care about learning technique.

Perfect for sharpening my knives. Make no mistake, you can ruin your knives without these.

A bit disappointed with these. They are just too big to handle small kitchen knives (read that: virtually every kitchen knife I own). The blade edge is obscured by the edge of the guide.They'll work fine for knives who's blade is more than 3/4" wide. But most of my knives are not that wide. Trying to use these with narrow blades, like the average kitchen knife just won't stay aligned properly.Just remember, get the right tool for the right job.

These are wonderful for someone who is just starting to use a wetstone for sharpening. They really help to get a feel for the correct angle and ensure you are consistent. If you want to do some serious knife sharpening, I'd suggest trying these. They made a big difference for me.
