Well built line of VFDs. Recommend them. Manufacturer/seller provides quick and good support
Well Built line of VFDs. I got a .75kw elsewhere used, but it works fine. The manufacturer provides good and quick support both via the email in the manual and for questions submitted via Amazon. Unlike some other sellers, this one is the actual manufacturer and they know and support their products well. Some information that may be helpful to folks using the Mollom VFDs:1. The keypad can be remotely mounted and connected with a simple cat6 network cable.2. The ground terminal on these VFD's is the leftmost screw post, and there is a plastic knockout covering it that needs to be removed.3. 1/4" Fork Spade Wire Connectors fit the terminals well. The insulation on the connector may prevent easy insertion in the slot for the ground wire, but with some wiggling you can get it inserted. I used the blue ones with 14 gauge wire, which is sufficient for a 1hp motor.4. For those wanting to have a button on the control panel dedicated to a forward/reverse toggle, you can reprogram the MF.K button to do that in the menu settings for entry F7-01, by setting it to 2, which is "2: Forward / Reverse switchover", instead of the factory default of 3 ("forward Jog").5. By default, these VFDs come set up with the maximum Hz set to the European/Asian standard of 50Hz. You'll need to change those values in multiple places in the settings to use the North American 60Hz standard as the maximum. Just look through the settings table in the included manual and you'll find where those settings are pretty quickly. Not changing this will make your motor not run at full speed when the dial is turned all the way up.The instruction manual included is a quick start guide that has a table that includes the various settings. The manufacturer will send you an auto-translated full manual as a PDF upon request. I asked for it, but didn't really need it for simple use as a VFD. They also send the original Chinese manual, which is helpful in that the diagrams are still intact (the translation kinda clobbers them). Referencing both will get you the information you need for advanced use of the VFD.
