A 24" solid oak wall clock created from a retired Scotch whisky barrel lid. The clock has received a light coating of Jacobean stain which emphasises the markings, patterns and unique characteristics of each oak slat. The lid is several decades old and has a very interesting past. It has been in the Scotch whisky industry for the duration of its life and soaked in Scotch whisky throughout..... far from any ordinary machine made wall clock! It oozes character and charm. The clock face has distressed painted numerals which blend with the oak beautifully, providing a perfect rustic look. The clock mechanism is high torque and comes with distressed off white painted metal spade hands (requires 1 x AA battery not included) *Please note that the hands are lightweight in order for the mechanism to power them around. Wooden slats with a depth of approximately 1.5 cm have been secured to the rear to strengthen and brace the clock. A D ring has been fitted to the rear so it's ready to simply hang straight on to a wall. Please note our items are also for sale elsewhere therefore this listing maybe removed without notice.
