Works great so far, with a few issues
If you’re like me and trying to look for a gamepad that is like a Kishi or Backbone for an iPad mini for so long, this is the best solution so far. At least during the time of this review. So far it works good, even with a bit of intense gameplay when I stream Monster Hunter on my iPad. Connectivity is pretty solid, battery life is decent as well. I don’t notice any latency, or maybe I just don’t play competitively that I can’t perceive it.My main issue with this is how they setup the start and select buttons on the right side of the controller. I don’t understand why they didn’t think of separating it like how most controllers do it. Next is the spring that holds the two sides together, which is a bit weak. It can still hold my iPad mini but I have to be conscious on how I grip it. Last pain point is the shoulder and trigger buttons which feel a bit cheap. It works well but the spring used on it could’ve been better.I am still giving this a 4-star despite my issues with it since it’s the only decent mounted controller for the iPad mini.

Don't bother.
Constant issues with keeping it connected.

Perfect solution, that I can't believe doesn't exist elsewhere!
I, like many people, have a current-get iPad Mini 6... and I couldn't stop thinking about how it would make an amazing portable remote gaming device. I have a Kishi and Backbone for iPhone, but the aspect ratio and size of the phone screen just isn't as good. One would think either one of those devices should be designed to expand just a tiny bit further (it is almost funny how close it is to fitting) to accommodate the iPad, but no. It's almost like they intentionally prevent you from doing it. I covered the gamut looking for options, from ripping the backbone apart and removing springs, to buying 3D printed brackets for Joy-Cons from Etsy. After searching for a solution, I finally found this and decided to take a chance on it. It fits the bill perfectly and it is a comfortable and pretty decent controller interface. If you have the same use case, this is a great solution. It does use Bluetooth instead of a USB-C connection and the pairing can be a little finicky, but once you get past that, it's great. Enjoy!

Not bad for a controller
I seen this controller on YouTube and I had to order one because it works with COD mobile and it’s been working fantastically. RGB is a nice touch and buttons feels good. It works well with my Samsung galaxy fold 2

Buttons and triggers are a little mushy feeling
Overall this controller works with my iPhone 15 pro max in a peak design case. This was the goal and as long as the controller can be used in the PS Remote Play iOS app and in CoD Mobile with supporting multiple inputs at the same time with minimal latency I’d keep it.When the item arrived it has no mentions of arVin anywhere on it just BSP D8 but another reviewer already called that out too.The instructions work ok if you just need it to show up as an Xbox controller but it’s a known issue that the PS Remote Play app does not allow the use of Xbox controllers so I remembered reading a different pairing mode option mentioned on the product listing that makes it show up on your iPhone as a dual shock 4 controller which works with the PS Remote Play app without issue. With the controller turned off, press and hold B and the Power button and it will glow pink and then pair it with your iPhone and it will work nicely.Best part is not just that it can emulate an Xbox and a ps4 controller by simply changing how it boots up but that it can also hold my phone easily between it like a backbone does but my iPhone can remain in a case with plenty of room to spare. So it could even hold my iPad if I wanted to. I’m not sure it’s stable enough stretched out that much but it does stretch that large which is impressive. If you want a cheap backbone alternative I think this one fits the bill while still working with the same number of apps as the backbone for half the cost and the ability to accommodate far more cases. You cannot charge or use wired headphones while this in use and it also needs to be charged but out of the box it had enough charge for an hour or more of gameplay. Being able to lay on my bed and play CoD Mobile was fun!It will have more latency than a wired backbone one but it’s not that noticeable playing online.
