Love this product! The only Thing I didn’t love was that the loop on the bottom is just material and I am afraid it may break if I connect the leash there.

I have two dogs that each weigh about 65 pounds and they are strong. They are well behaved when we walk unless there is a coyote, deer or other wildlife they would like to pursue. They would break loose and take off after their prey, leaving my husband and me searching and very worried. One of my dogs can Houdini out of his collar and that was also quite alarming because he would take off. We have tried other harnesses but this one is by far the best. Easy to get on, nicely padded and so far they have proved to be escape proof. By far the best harness I have every used.

Update 2019: this harness is still nice and sturdy after 2 years now. One of my favorites to use when I take my boy walking or on small hikes. You cant see much wear and tear and it's still a solid harness. Moved from a 4 star to a 5! So far so good. Ordered the large for my 55 pound mutt and he seems to like it after getting it adjusted just right. Will have to cut off a few inches of the strap though because now they're too long on his sides.

This is a replacement for a Tuff Mutt harness that I bought a couple of years ago. The old one was showing its age. I really like this harness, although I have to make some extra adjustments so that it fits my dog properly. I had cut off the extra strap length on the old one so that it didn't dangle alongside my dog. However, this caused the ends to fray badly and I decided to replace it. The reflective bands are nice to have. It would be perfect if there was an additional adjustment band for the part that goes underneath my dog from front to back.

Doesn't fit my Rottweiler, probably wont fit large dogs like him, good quality tho. This has the exact same dimensions and cut as the Ruffwear Front Range Harness without the bells and whistles that the Ruffwear has. With it being 10 dollars cheaper, its a great alternative. I don't see anything really wrong with the seam quality or material quality vs the Ruffwear Front Range, but the Large/XL Tuff Mutt is literally the exact same size and cut as the Ruffwear Large/XL. Between the two it really depends if you want to spend that extra 10 on the Ruffwear to get a place to put the tags and also a place to write on the harness. Overall: Basically is just the Ruffwear harness without the ID tag holder and place to write Cons: L and XL should be two different sizes. You cant just lump a 80 lb dog and a 150 lb dog into the same size harness. Not only is the chest plate way too short for my Rottweiler, when measured from the throat to the belly its only 12.5". The back plate, measured from the base of the neck to the back is only 6". Like really? A 105-110 lb Rottweiler can barely fit into that without it chaffing and he's a smaller guy out of his litter. I returned the Tuff Mutt L/XL and kept the Ruffwear Front Range L/XL.
