Didn't have to use it, but felt safe after a test at home.
Thankfully we did not need to use this on our family vacation to Glacier National Park. However, having tested it at home before we left, I can bear witness to its effectiveness. It fired an astonishingly wide and long cloud of its contents. Despite beating a hasty retreat around the corner and into my garage, I still managed to get a light whiff or two myself and wouldn't wish a full breath of it on my worst enemy. I can tell you this, I really would rather not have to use this in the wild, because I'm pretty sure I'd end up getting more exposure myself than I'd prefer. However, that's an inherent characteristic of the product, and if it comes right down to it, I'd rather deal with some pepper spray than an angry grizzly.

Great Protection! ( I assume?)
I haven’t had to deploy this in any threatening wildlife situations yet, but it seems like it’ll do the trick. Love the carrying case, works well attaching to the belt of pack.Hiking in bear country, having this on hand gives you a great deal of peace of mind, so I’d highly recommend this to you! Better safe than sorry - and even though you most likely won’t need it, the little bit of extra weight will just make you stronger right!?

Effective with good range.
Delivered very quickly, it was important since we were having a bear problem outside our Maine cabin. One use of the spray and it was the last time I saw the bear this summer. The bear was starting to aggressively growl at me and I was no longer comfortable outside.

Bear spay even works on people
Best spray ever ! Ive already sprayed 2 ex girlfriend’s and a homeless man , I didn’t believe it would work so fast I’m definitely gonna order more thanks bear spray !

Long range, large capacity.
I wanted a large capacity, long range bear/mountain lion repellent. This product does both with 40' range and 9.2 Oz repellent. Very satisfied.

Got to have if you move to bear country.....!
First, the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I haven't had to use it, and frankly I hope I never will! I've recently moved into the mountains of NC where there are bears galore. I would never go walking without something, just in case. I might look up here at home and see one in the tree, so there's that. SO if you live in bear country or if you want to hike some trails, you must get this. Must Get!
