Dog Mat, Large, 36-Inch, Cowboy Blue

Sturdy, works well, stays cool as long as advertised. Soaks up quickly. I have recommended to friends. Dogs are happy.

Works as promised but my dogs don't seem to use it.....and it was over 100 degrees here the last week.

This mat takes a long time to soak in water and the mat is not even. The bumpy strips of gell are a result and there is no smooth surface. The mat is very wet after soaking it in water and heavy. My dog refused to even go on it. I'm returning it!

I really hoped this would be a good thing for my dog, because he is double coated and really gets hot. But it is wet, and so I could only put it out in the kitchen where I have linoleum. My dog refused to have anything to do with it. Even with encouragement and treats he avoided it. He'd lie down near it, but not on it. If I'd been able to put it in a room he ordinarily likes to hang out in, maybe he would have given it a try. But he doesn't hang out in the kitchen, and he wasn't about to start. So this didn't work for our setup.

You have to try and rearrange the chrystals so they are evenly distributed along the thin strips of fabric and that takes some time and it still is not quite evenly distributed. It does feel cool, and finally my dogs will lay on it occaisionally. Seems like they prefer it after it's had a day to absorb and then dry out a bit.

I got this for my dog in medium and large. It doesn't work. It absorbs the water and swells and by evaporating cools my doggie. Well, it's not dry here so it doesn't work and fido doesn't like lying on something that's wet.

This would be great if you are keeping it in one place, but it is very heavy when activated and impractical for me to take with my working dog. It stays wet for quite a while.
