Kills so many bugs
I live near a river and because of that we have so many bugs so I got this to help around the house. Its size perfectly fits in the corner and is wide enough to stand of its own no issue. It is bright but not bright enough to disturb while sleeping, and it is extremely effective as I have definitely noticed a lack of bugs since I got this.

Turned Mine Into a Sanitizing Box!! (CONFIRMED WORKING BY LAB TESTS)
Well, the bugs finally stopped pouring into my house/shop now that it's finally getting colder out but... Covid 19 is unfortunately still in. I don't have it and never had but I think part of that is due to the precautions I take. Wear my mask whenever I leave the house, wash my hands well and often and... sanitize everything once I get back home (from going grocery shopping, etc). Yes yes, call me a germaphobe or whatever but I'm getting older and I'd really rather not get this virus. I also have my loved ones and friends to consider - so if I feel like taking extra precautions that's my prerogative :) Couldn't hurt! Anyway, because I was tired of using Clorox wipes to wipe everything down (wallet, credit cards, cash, keys, etc) every time I got back home - plus Clorox Wipes don't do amazingly well with my fabric wallet and are quite tedious with things like keys - I decided to take a different approach and turn this bug zapper into a sanitizer!... since it uses powerful UV lights :) I knew that UV light kills as much if not more bacteria than soap! So... I got right to work on this little, multi-level sanitizing box (see photos). I knew that it'd need to be reflective - to reflect light in all directions to cover the objects with UV light from every angle - so I took a fire blanket (highly reflective aluminum sheet) and laid it out. Then found a box that would work well, took that apart and laid it flat on the ground. Then I sprayed both the box and one side of the fire blanket with M3 spray glue and quickly stuck the two together - covering one entire side of the box with the fire blanket. After I pressed all of the aluminum fire blanket down onto the one side of the box, I put the box back together. I had some hard cardboard corners from a window AC I had ordered a while back and some plexiglass from another project I had worked on a while. The cardboard corners (after I cut them) worked perfectly for creating little shelves that I could set the plexiglass sheets on. I covered them in aluminum tape (so that they, too, would reflect the UV light) and then first stapled them and then aluminum taped them to the inside of the box (on one side). Then I set the plexiglass sheets onto those shelves and aluminum taped those on as well so they wouldn't slide whenever I moved the box. I repeated this process until I had 3 plexiglass shelves (btw I used plexiglass so the EV light could hit every side of the objects placed in there). Cut a little hold for the cord, aluminum taped the bug zapper to the box and BAM!... I now have a sweet sanitizing box!! Set objects in there for 15 minutes and they're fully sanitized! My researcher/lab worker friend even tested it ath the lab he works at for me! He used these little petri dishes and tested several little objects (that he had applied some kind of bacteria to) that had sat in there for 15 minutes and sure enough - he found less bacteria than some other objects he had cleaned with Clorox wipes and another set he had cleaned with soap. He already thought it would work though since they have a UV cleaner at his work as well. But hey, awesome that I was able to confirm that it does work :) Anyway maybe this can come in handy for someone else out there that needs to clean or sanitize objects! Hope it's helpful to someone out there!

LED diverse and attracts 30% more bugs than the fluorescent version
This is the LCD model and I’ve also had the fluorescent model. The older fluorescent amount of wood attract flies and zapping pretty good, but it didn’t attract mosquitoes or fruit flies. However, in the new LED model with its multiple frequency, LEDs actually does attract fruit flies and I’ve seen dead ones in the pan so it’s taken them out. I was impressed with it door frequency of lighting so that you could attract more bugs. Now keep in mind it has a blue light and then it has another light next to it, but you can’t see it but the bugs can so it’s not that it’s broken. That’s just it’s out of your range to see. But it attracts more bugs than the fluorescent one for sure and should last 10 years the fluorescent one I did have to replace the bulbs a few times. There’s some knock off frames and I tried one of them however you immediately could tell the LED was different because it was glowing blue and the other LED yellow not like this one it did not attract anything so this brand Aspectek is the best in my opinion

Great performance, cheap ballast
Four stars because it works great. One of the only ones that has killed phorid flies in my home en mass. The elements are spaced close enough for small flies and it has high enough voltage to hit them hard(and loud). I removed a star because the built in ballast for these lights goes bad in about a year or two. I’ve had 3 fixtures and the ballasts always fail. Usually if a bulb goes out it’s not the bulb itself, but the ballast, so a replacement bulb dosn’t work. If you have phorid flies buy it. But be aware that the lights are bright and the noise is LOUD.

Great product!
Works great! I highly recommend to have a few of these at home. I have one in each room and work very well on flies, mosquitos and any bug that flies.

I got 2 units of this one yesterday, "6 March 2025" , My issue for now is that the description is wrong, "ASPECTEK - Powerful 20W Indoor Electric Zapper Insect Zapper for Mosquitoes, Flies, Moths, Mosquito Nets for Home, Restaurant, Office, Includes 2 Replacement Bulbs" There is no replacement bulbs, the 2 bulbs coming with the box is to be used directly as the zapper is coming without bulbs

The plastic was very poor and did not feel safe at all to ise or leave un attended, the plug was a cheap two pin and the electric fence was only on one side which means that you”ll need to place against a wall I would stongly recommend against this and for just a little more you are bet6er off with something that works, will last and is safe
