This a cheaper end facial brush, with semi hard bristles. It should be apparent that the red and blue light option is going to actually do NOTHING for your face. So if you are buying it for that function, don't.I'll give this five stars because it's workable with the price. As a consumer, who votes with her dollar, sometimes I have to chose the cheaper option. BUT, I have learned how to make it work, and this last longer.First off, soak all of this heads in slightly boiling water. Make a pot of water, set it to boil, and when you see steam, take it off the boiler. Add some ice. Then place the heads bristle down, and leave for maybe 3 seconds at a time.They will soften very quickly. From that, add a tiny bit of your natural lotion into it, and let it set over night.From there, you are good to go. Repeat this every month or so to clean you heads.This handheld works great for the price. I use this in the shower, and I set it brush side down to dry. Then every Friday, I charge and recliner and season the heads.

I used it regularly until the battery died, and unfortunately, I lost the charging plug. Since it was so affordable (around $25), I decided to just order a new one instead of tracking down a charger.Here’s where the issue comes in: the new one looked identical in the pictures to the one I had before—but when it arrived, I noticed it did not have the light functions. Instead, the button where the light should be now says “L/R” (left/right), which changes the brush direction—but no light at all.To make it more confusing, the instructions included with the new unit still reference how to turn the light on and off, which makes it feel like the manufacturer isn’t keeping track of what features are actually being shipped.Bottom line: If the LED light function is important to you (it was for me), be cautious when ordering. This may not be the same model you thought you were getting, even if the picture and instructions suggest otherwise. I’d love to see the company clarify this in their listings and packaging.
