Mastering iOS 11 Programming: Build professional-grade iOS applications with Swift 4 and Xcode 9, 2nd Edition 2nd Revised edition

Frustrated, but may change my review later. The code in the first lessons doesn't compile even though it's typed verbatim from the book. I guessed that the code was missing an "import Contacts," and when I added that line, the error was resolved. Next, there's this line that should read (according to the book) "if let imageData = contact.imageDate where contact.imageDataAvailable...." The compiler doesn't like that "where," and tells me to change it to a comma. Get past that hurdle, and according to the book "If you build and run your project now, your app works!" But...it doesn't.A "Fatal error" gets thrown at line "let cell = tableView.dequeueReusableCell..."So...thinking I must have really screwed things up, I downloaded the code from the publisher's web site for comparison. The downloaded code looks NOTHING like what is in the book. Not even close. Oh...and that, too, fails to compile.I'm "Mastering" more about debugging XCode than I am programming. We'll see what the next lessons bring and if I can't build a functioning app from that code I'm going to ask for my money back. This is so disappointing.Bumped it down to 1 star. Sorry...really wanted to give this the benefit of the doubt, but now I'm getting the following error when just attempting to open downloaded code: Project/Users.../Chapter03/...HelloContacts.xcodeproj cannot be opened because it is missing its project.pbxproj file. Now, I can't even get to the point where I start troubleshooting code errors.

Ottimo libro, ben strutturato. Tratta i diversi argomenti con il giusto approfondimento, lasciando al lettore diversi spunti per andare più in profondità in autonomia. Indicato per chi ha già delle basi di SWIFT, ma in ogni caso un principiante con il giusto atteggiamento potrà utilizzarlo.
