Found this to be one of the easiest ways to replicate gold foil embossed leather box writing. I was able to easily reproduce the company logo and writing on a 1950’s leather bound jeweling tool box. There are probably other uses this would work well for also. Price was correct for a small hobbyist with a low volume inventory and not break the bank. Quality of the foil was perfect and it functioned as advertised.

I thought a cheaper one from Hobby Lobby was all I needed, but this set is superior. I tried both the wide nib and the ultra thin one and both work nicely. It takes a bit of getting used to but the effect is very nice. I have to learn to write with it but in the meantime I am using them for accents on my painted cards or anywhere else in my art that needs a little sparkle.

Foil pen needs a charger, nowhere mentioned. Went on Amazon chat to ask. They said Type A. Order it. Wrong one. Pen still not usable. Ugh.

Good quality and easy to use and set up as well.

Great concept but did not work for me. I tried multiple times with the instructions and You Tube videos and could never get the foil to transfer.

This is great on leather, make sure you go slow however not too slow

Does NOT work with Deco foil no matter what type of project (paper, leather, vinyl etc.) and no matter how hard you press or how slow you go. Very disappointing!! It does work with the thin foil provided in the package.

I occasionally like to add metallic detailing to my watercolor paintings and usually use leaf (which is so messy) or mica based shimmer paints (which works but looks like shimmer paint and not metal) This too might be the thing that finally lets me accent my paintings in a way that is mess free and super shiny! Assuming I can figure out the best way to get the gilding to go exactly where I need since I cannot see through the foil, but that is a me problem. The tool works great, I love the different nibs, especially the detail pen. My only complaint is the nib remover, I didn't really find it worked all that well and had better luck just using a pair of pliers.
