Good tool for windows tinting metering as well as plants lighting
I mainly used for detecting UV and IR lighting in my greenhouse (edible herbs) as I'm supplying these spectrum to hopefully get better aromas and taste from Basil and other edible herbs. On tomatoes I noticed an increased production and frequency of flowers growth development when using UV and IR. The app V-Sensor can be used to take measurements in three different spectrum range, including visible light. Bear in mind this doesn't read PPFD but you can make some approximate conversions.

Doesn't work
Doesn't work so sending it back advice to people reading this is don't bother buying

A useful, quite niche product
A useful piece of equipment to measure the performance of glass. This is marketed for tint installers where there are legal requirements. For example, in the UK front windows in vehicles must let at least 70% of light through. The sensor also measures the UV and IR wavelengths to indicate the heat rejection and skin protection provided. You need to download the Vsensor app from the Apple or Google Play stores to access the data. The sensor connects easily via Bluetooth providing W/m² for red, green and blue in the visible spectrum as well as UV and IR. The app also does the calculations for you so you can take a reading with a clear view and a second through the glass you are testing and it will calculate the percentage of light transmitted at different wavelengths. There is no information provided about calibrations, but if you are only interested in percentage difference that is not so critical. I have learnt that in my conservatory 82% of UV light is blocked compared with sitting in the garden in direct sun. At £53, I don't think this is too expensive for a piece of professional test equipment. Even if a professional installer has more complicated test equipment they may be interested in this to perform a quick check as it is so easy to use.

Useful tool
The build quality is top-notch, giving a sturdy and durable feel right out of the box It even comes with an extra battery, which is a nice touch The sensor for visible light, UVA, and IR, sourced from a Japanese company I'm not entirely sure what the practical uses of this are but seems like a nice gadget

Documentation could be a tiny bit better... I got the device connected pretty quickly (You even have an extra battery), but it doesn't show the best way to take the measurement. Should the car be facing the sun, does it have to be a sunny day... I would have like a little bit more details. Data scanning is SUPER quick ! The app is really basic but will visualized the informations. I just wish it had some storage method for the data. But instead, I take screenshot and write on it so I know which location I tested. There is not much to this unit. It seem to contain not much inside, as it super light, but they did put a nice slip free pad behind, but it could be less good and it wouldn't change anything, but it the only thing that feel good, so I'll take it. It will be interesting to see what this read during a solar eclipse though different type of glass !

I use this to check the vehicle tint installed already for penetration of visible light-ultra violet-infra red. It is easy to use and can record the results from all windows front/rear/side/sunroof. The build quality is good and handy. Value for money. It is accurate for practical daily use. Now i can find out if the tint is too dark for night driving. I will know when to open or shut the sunroof too to protect my skin against sunlight.
