If you need a purple shampoo to minimize brassy tones, this one is great! My teen has bleach-blonde hair (color-treated) and this shampoo worked amazingly. I got this Pete & Pedro PURPLE SHAMPOO for my daughter, who keeps her naturally brunette hair heavily-highlighted blonde.She has used many brands of purple shampoo over the past decade, ever since she started highlighting her hair, and she thinks this is one of the best she’s ever used.It smells incredible, adds plenty of moisture and shine, it neutralizes the brassy tones, and really enhances the multiple shades of blondes.Excellent quality purple shampoo; she definitely recommends!

I didn't think about this washing out the red highlites in my blonde colored hair! I'm passing this along to my sister that has gray colored hair as she uses a purple shampoo. I do like that it is paraben and sulfate free! I also use and like some other products by this brand! This one isn't a good option for me but still a good product! Recommend!

I decided to try it as I have blonde highlights and it helps to bring out the color of blonde within my brown hair.It smells great and leaves my hair feeling soft and healthy.Overall, this is a solid option for the price. I will probably buy another bottle soon as it lasts roughly a month.

I used Pete & Pedro Purple Toning Shampoo for the first time and was hoping to get tresses that were soft and easy to control, which is sometimes hard to do with color-treated, naturally curly hair. The shampoo is extremely thick and droplets were in danger of staining my bathtub, had I not wiped them up immediately. It also did not lather as easily as other colored treated hair shampoos I have used.After shampooing, my hair did not feel any better than it has been with other products. I was surprised that styling was also not as easy as with other products. Unfortunately, this did not work well for my hair type and I was disappointed.

I only wish this bottle was bigger with a pump. I live by purple shampoo to tone the brass out of my hair when I bleach it initially. To keep it up, the purple shampoo should be used at least once a week. The color is actually very purple and while it looks like color dye, it does not dye your hair purple or anything like that. I've used other purple shampoo that had a more blueish color. In the color wheel, purple/blue cancels out orange. Because it's a "shampoo" I lather it on my scalp and also my strands. It helps to keep my hair platinum. The purple color splashes everywhere in the bath/shower so make sure it gets rinsed out before you're done. There is a bit of a color stain that easily washes away but I don't know what would happen if you leave it on the bath for a long time so best to clean it up after.
