I liked this type as they went together nicely and the shrink tubing is good quality.

For small cable like LMR195 or RG316/RG174, these are much more secure and easier to install vs crimp connectors without a solder window. I will exclusively use these for my LMR195 going forward.

These work just fine with RG-316. Use a .128 crimp tool and you'll do ok for the braid. It's delicate work soldering the center conductor, I used a 20W iron with a very fine tip and it went well. My only beef with the kit is that the heat shrink tubing supplied is WAY too big for RG-316 for both length and diameter. It would be alright for heat shrink tubing with a really good shrink rate but this stuff is not that....I'll use my own for future cables and cable repairs.

These connectors are terrible. Soldering the center conductor requires surgical skill. If you get too much solder, it will ground to the outer connector.

I have a couple of Wyoming UP antennas from the "President" brand CB radios and they have this really thin coax. I discovered when I was in a bind that those CB antennas work surprisingly well at GMRS frequencies when I had to use them with GMRS walkie talkies for a multi-car family road trip. I didn't want to use all 12 feet of lossy coax and I didn't want bulky adapters on the PL259s at the end, so these BNC connectors were the ticket to shorten the coax to reduce loss and have a smaller, lighter, clean BNC connector for the handheld radios. I am happy with these.

This package of 10 “window” style BNC connectors is supplied with 10 pieces of dual wall heat shrink tubing for an “everything that you need but the crimper” complete BNC cable end solution. The nickel plated BNC connectors are well made and the center pin solders easily. The supplied heat shrink tubing is long enough to provide strain relief for the connected coax. Although the connectors do not come with a spec sheet, determining the strip lengths is not a difficult task and the connectors are designed to use the standard .128 inch crimp die.I chose to use RG174 for my first cable as the shielding on that coax is not quite as heavy as the RG 316. I reasoned that if the ferrule would crimp tight enough to hold the RG174 shield properly, it would also work well for RG316. And it works just fine.These are nice connectors for RG174, RG316, and similarly sized coax.

I'm using these to build custom 50ohm RG316 patch cables between my oscilloscopes and signal generators on my electronics test bench. The first BNC connectors I tried had separate pins that need to be soldered on to the coax center conductor first, then inserted into the connector body before crimping the collar. These have a fixed pin with a "window" cut into the connector body to solder the conductor. I *much* prefer these, they're much less fiddly than those with the separate pins.Each connector in the set consists of the connector body with fixed pin, the crimp collar, and a short piece of heatshrink tubing. So far the couple of cables I've made worked fine. I'll continue to prefer these over the other style of BNC connectors I have.
