We have a magnetic world map from Frontgate. The magnets provided by Frontgate as well as the magnets available for sale on the Frontgate site are really not appropriate for the map. These magnets are PREFECT because they are so small. The size is perfect because you are able to place many of these mall pin magnets on the map and still see the city name, country, etc - see pictures. In addition these magnets are much stronger than the add-on magnets you can buy from Frontgate. The only concern one might have is children. These are small and I could see a little-one eating these magnets or getting them stuck in an ear or nostril.

The magnets were neatly packaged, grouped by color. Though small, these are STRONG little suckers! As I was removing them from the bag, they'd quickly flip themselves around to face the "right" way. We are using them as checklist-style markers, to show tasks done, so I have not used them to hold papers in place.There are two minor "cons":* The magnets are so strong that there can be difficulty when trying to place them too close together. (They try to stick to each other, rather than the intended surface)* We had one magnet remain attached to the board, when we pulled on the plastic "pin". I was able to manually remove the magnet and re-insert it.I quickly discovered that the white "pins" I'd ordered (I got 4 different colors) were a poor choice to use on the intended whiteboard, so I used some nail polish to paint them yellow. (This was poor planning on my part, buying white pins, but I knew I had the nail polish on-hand.) The good news is they took the color readily. (This means you can create your own color-system, using the white pins, if you don't like the colors offered!)

My husband kept talking about putting a bunch of push pins through my map (and wall) to mark our travels, which was not an idea I particularly liked. I found an idea on pinterest to make a magnetic bulletin board, so I adapted it to make our map magnetic and ordered these magnets. They hold really well and are tiny enough to look reasonable on our map without being hard to grasp. Best of all, my wall and map are hole-free!Update: My husband used up all his magnets marking places he'd traveled for work, and a second package is his most requested Christmas present. Easy stocking suffer I know he'll be happy about is a win for both of us!

First I liked the fast free shipping. My husband and I love to go on long trips with our travel trailer. Well, I got this idea to buy a magnetic map of the U.S. and mark all the places we have been. The magnetic "pins" are perfect for marking the spots. They are a nice small size and I like that you can get them in different colors. We are planning another trip for this year so I will be ordering more pins!

Several years ago, I purchased a large magnetic map to mark places we had visited. It came with some magnets, but when I ordered more, they were larger, and took up too much space on the map. These are perfect. Very pleased. Thank you!

Pins are great, just like the ones my map originally came with. However the description said “ green and yellow” . The yellow is anything but yellow- I call it “Grinch green” or“Kermit the frog green” . Definitely not any shade you would label “yellow”!!

I used them for a wall map that I glued to a 4x8 sheet of metal and the magnets are the perfect size for marking individual cities. My only wish is that they had more vivid and bright colors so that they can still be easily seen on places that have the same color as the magnets.

I am impressed with how strong these tiny magnets are for their size and weight. They work great for my magnetic hunting maps. I would give it 5 stars but the cost for these is a little ridiculous. I just couldn't find anything else that would work for my specific application.
