It works reasonably well but a good block plane and sanding block results in better finish.

I have used many types and always reverted back to a utility knife or sharp chisel and this works the best. It is smooth and trims nice and close with little work after.

Can just do 1 mm abs edging if warm up material. Excellent on .5mm material would recommend

Love this trimmer and wish I would have bought it years ago. Very easy to use and really sharp. I used it to trim 3/4" white melamine edge banding and it worked great.
