I'm new to the chrome powder game and I gotta say : it makes sense to put the powder on before the top coat. Don't ask how I found that out. The colors are pretty! There's only one odd one that if I could, I'd replace the light pink with a red, emerald or maybe even orange. Just my opinion! I'm fairly sure these will last a long time unless you're on a production line of just applying chrome all day, then these pots are perfect for hobbyists like me. The powder has an ultra fine consistency, and the provided applicators and dust brush do their job. I imagine at some point the applicators will need to be replaced though. I advise using a fan or vacuum of some sort blow away the excess dust, because at some point you'll see the powder just floating around in the air around your face and you're breathing it in. Which is probably not good btw. Or a mask might work. Anyway, very pretty, doesn't come off easily, and great value! Would get again!

I recently got a chrome manicure done at my salon and was blown away by this powder technique and how easy it was to do. Having cost me $70 🤑 I wanted to find an at-home version. This kit is not the same brand as the salon used by worked just as well. It includes two base colors (white and black) and the metallic powders completely change the color (for example, white base with the silver powder would make completely silver nails, no white visible). For the video I uploaded I already had a base color on which was from ohora sticker gels. I had done my nails before the powder arrived and didn’t want to wait 3 weeks for my polish change to test them and it worked just as well. I applied a gel top coat, cured, powder, gel top coat, cured again, and done! So incredibly easy. I am completely untalented at doing my nails but they look like I got them done at the salon. Next time I will try using the base polish that comes with the kit, but I tend to be a sloppy painter. If I fail, I’ll go back to the stickers since they work just as well.

I bought this set alongside another beetles chrome set and for some reason thought this set wasn’t loose powder like the other set I bought soooo this can get a bit messy. Overall though, it’s a great selection of colors. There’s so many things you can do with these 8 colors. Application is super easy, just need to follow a few steps. Again it’s more so just messy. But maybe that’s just me and my beginner use with chrome powder. In my photo the thumb and ring finger are the colors from this set with a black base. The color and pigment of them are beautiful!

Just buy it. If you’re in the market for a good color shifting, mermaid-y, unicorn-ish, aurora, glazed donut, iridescent, style chrome powder, this is the one. I’m not a “professional” but I have been doing my own gel nails at home for about 10 years, and I’ve really gotten into all things chrome in the last 3 or so years, so I have tried and tested A LOT of products. And this one is JUST AS GOOD as the high end brand selling this same style chrome for $40+. This is the same exact effect and same quality in my opinion and a lot better quality than the other cheaper brands that are on Amazon. (I’ve tried some other affordable chromes on Amazon, and they just look dull). The price on this set is SUPER REASONABLE. There’s not a ton of powder in the jars, but you only need a teeny tiny bit on the applicator, I see a lot of people over do it, and you need to BUFF it into oblivion, if used sparingly there should be enough for MANY manicures. And I’m looking forward to trying it with all the base colors. 😂 I also love the included top coat, once you start using chrome it gets into the top coat and all of your manicure become ~glittery~ so it’s best to keep a separate top coat for chromes and regular manicures. I also like the magnetic cat eye polish, I’ve swatched it but haven’t used it yet, it seems it’s best applied on top of a base color because it it very sheer and you can then apply a top coat and chrome on top of that if desired. I do wish the magnet was a little bit bigger but I’m glad they included one at all. Overall this is one of the best nail purchases I’ve made from Amazon, I’ve tried a lot over the years and this is a great value and just as good as the high end stuff. This isn’t a paid or sponsored review in anyway, I always read reviews before trying things because I genuinely care what people have to say about products, and so I’m hoping to share that too, this is one of the best chromes I’ve seen in a long time and I highly recommend it. I cannot leave the house without getting compliments everyone it’s on my nails! It’s just so good, it looks great on any color base, and it constantly shifts in different lighting. I added photos of some swatches over different color bases so you can see how they change. Happy nail-arting!!

This is the best chrome/ holographic powder I have found. It’s really good. Really easy to use and doesn’t disintegrate when topcoat is applied! Highly recommend
